Cain gets testy with reporters

Alexandria, Virginia (CNN) - All of the questions may be getting to Herman Cain.

The GOP presidential candidate was a bit touchy Wednesday when questioned by reporters about claims he sexually harassed two women in the late 1990's during his time as head of the National Restaurant Association.

"Don't even bother asking me all of these questions," Cain said to reporters.

Then the conservative businessman raised his voice.

"Excuse me," Cain yelled. "What part of no do you not understand," he asked.

The incident occurred inside a Northern Virginia hotel where Cain met with a group of conservative physicians.

Cain's security staff then pushed their way through a scrum of reporters and photographers to escort the candidate into a conference room where he made a statement to the doctors.

Reporters attempted to ask Cain whether he would call on the National Restaurant Association to release the two women from non-disclosure agreements that they reportedly signed in order to receive settlement payments from the lobbying group.

A lawyer representing one of the women told CNN he plans to ask the National Restaurant Association for a release from those agreements, citing Cain's comments as a potential violation of the conditions of those settlements.

Cain's Chief of Staff, Mark Block indicated talks to release the women from their non-disclosure agreements may be underway.

Holding a phone up to his ear, Block said to CNN: "This may be the call now."

"Should be an interesting 48 hours," he added.

The story on the harassment complaints and settlements were first reported by POLITICO.

Cain has denied he sexually harassed the women.

You are supporting someone who thinks that you are a lazy good for nothing. Did you know that? Cain says if you are out of work it's your own damn fault. How's that cognitive dissonace thing working? What has the GOP proposed that will help you find work? How does the GOP feel about the unemployment benefits you are probably getting? Good luck with those tax cuts creating a job for you.

Welcome to the national stage Mr. Cain. Here's my advice, if you can't stand the heat....I'm sure you know the rest.

But I thought getting to the White House would be so much easier. I didn't think things from my past would come back to possibly bite me. Boo-hoo, Wah-Wah...

The Republican field increasingly looks like a bunch of Wannabes and a weakling "frontrunner" aka Mitt Romney. Maybe Obama isn't headed for such a tough time after all?

What did Cain mean when he said those people.

    ""Excuse me," Cain yelled. "

Actually, I didn't hear him "yelling". I know what yelling is. I have seen Marines being yelled at in a Navy brig. That was not yelling. Your false reporting is a lie!

Black Walnut is melting fast and (to mix food metaphors) he's toast. I suppose his shuck-and-jive about the harassment claim/settlement/payoff is news, but Cain's candidacy is quickly losing its news value.

Now, if you not a Republican or a Tea Partyer, you are not an American. If you asking questions a man that wants to be a President of the United States, you must be that "darn" "liberal media".

"What part of no do you not understand?" Mr. Cain, what part of the electorate expecting clear, honest answers to legitimate character questions do you not understand? I think we will coin the term "Cain-wreck", we don't want to watch, but just can't help ourselves...

These reporters are out of line. Mr. Cain has made himself abundantly available to them and yet they infringe upon his appointments with doctors. They have no respect. Wait for the paperwork from the NRC to come out and learn a little respect. This is NOT Hollywood or Lindsay Lohan!

Let's see how quickly his white conservative supporters start dropping him when they realize that the women he harassed are WHITE WOMEN.

Cain is not and has not been running as a serious candidate for the Republican nomination. If Reagan was alived today he would see Cain's campaign for what it is and ill plotted ploy to show the Republican as being more open and having a bigger tent. You only have to look at the commentary from FOX news like Anne Coulter. Reagan would ripped these people apart for this nonsense. Cain will either get a cushy position at Fox, that's if they can afford more sub par talking heads to tow the line without upsetting their real reporters or to get a nice position in a Republican administration.

Of course, liberals have taken notice? Haven't you noticed what has really occured with the "P.I.G.S." of the European Union? The "P.I.G.S." have some of the lowest base corporate tax rates in Europe, as well as some of the fewest corporate and businsess regulations in the industrialized world. Greece is just the first to go.

Just curious – did you question Bush & Co when they were borrowing money for their illegal war? You people just can't see the light and it amazes me. Bush borrowed to end the lives of 5000 of our young men & women and countless Iraqis (even though we supposedly went in there to save their lives from Hussein). On the other hand, President Obama has spent to help our failing economy and citizens that are in dire straights and also to try to move this country into the 21st Century. I truly wish you Repubs/Tea Partiers would expand your tunnel vision!!

Uh, hold it a second. If the woman confirmed to Politico that the harassment settlement took place, it is she who violated the non-disclosure agreement first! Cain should sue her butt.

    Shoddy, unprofessional journalism.

CNn"s Acosta misquotes Cain as saying: " "Don't even bother asking me all of these questions,"

Play the video and Listen to the what Cain actually said: ""Don't even bother asking me all of these other questions that you all are curious about, okay? Don't even bother,"

Selective, deliberate misquoting to support CNN's bias, rather than factual reporting.

Nice try. Its the Democrats who are the real racists. Any person of color or hispanic who dares oppose them is immediately attacked in the most vicious and vile way. That includes conservative women as well.

    @ Rudy NYC
How can you blame whats happening in Europe to low Corporate taxes and regulations. These socialist democracies are dying of there own idiologies. Social wealfare states can't grow fast enough economically to sustain the costs of their cradle to grave spending. Its as simple as that.

Can there be anything more entertaining than watching a cheap, self-serving, hypocrite (i.e., a republican candidate for office) self-destruct in front of the entire world? I mean, besides Ann Coulter getting a pie thrown in its face?

Mr. Cain is providing a delightful spectacle of horror, as his past finally catches up with him. I love watching the footage.

It appears that the last of the Republican candidates "God asked to run" is going down the toilet. Bachman, Perry Santorum, and Cain all claimed God told them to run. Maybe God really is a Mormon!

The conservatives have done it again. I thought the Palin debacle was just an anomoly but it seems they are incapable of selecting a candidate from the rational side of the Republican Party. Maybe that side no longer exists...

Look at the man now! A pathetic liar who has changed his story 5 times. Before the right attacks the left remember it was conservative mouth piece "Politico" that leaked this news. Could the right candidates wan to get right of the Cain pressure on them?
