Cain gets testy with reporters

Alexandria, Virginia (CNN) - All of the questions may be getting to Herman Cain.

The GOP presidential candidate was a bit touchy Wednesday when questioned by reporters about claims he sexually harassed two women in the late 1990's during his time as head of the National Restaurant Association.

"Don't even bother asking me all of these questions," Cain said to reporters.

Then the conservative businessman raised his voice.

"Excuse me," Cain yelled. "What part of no do you not understand," he asked.

The incident occurred inside a Northern Virginia hotel where Cain met with a group of conservative physicians.

Cain's security staff then pushed their way through a scrum of reporters and photographers to escort the candidate into a conference room where he made a statement to the doctors.

Reporters attempted to ask Cain whether he would call on the National Restaurant Association to release the two women from non-disclosure agreements that they reportedly signed in order to receive settlement payments from the lobbying group.

A lawyer representing one of the women told CNN he plans to ask the National Restaurant Association for a release from those agreements, citing Cain's comments as a potential violation of the conditions of those settlements.

Cain's Chief of Staff, Mark Block indicated talks to release the women from their non-disclosure agreements may be underway.

Holding a phone up to his ear, Block said to CNN: "This may be the call now."

"Should be an interesting 48 hours," he added.

The story on the harassment complaints and settlements were first reported by POLITICO.

Cain has denied he sexually harassed the women.

When a politician or any one gets "testy" its because he/she is defensive and scared. Cain should have been told, you get into politics and everyone will be looking in your "closets" and investigating you!

My guess is that this little 'secret' was let out of the bag by the Perry campaign!

I am having fun watching GOP candidates flop!

Herman ... Tell the truth and the media has a funny way of not pestering you with more questions. Telling numerous versions of the same story doesn't really help you.

So now it's the 9-9-9-9 plan ... taking into account the current number of versions of you've told of this story.

PS ... Remember your message to the nation's unemployed ... well, this is your fault as well.

The irony, SOLYNDRA, is that if it weren't for 'liberal parasites', as you so ignorantly and callously call people like me, Cain wouldn't even be allowed to vote, much less run for office. We might be parasites, but the world is a fairer and better place because of us. Your jealousy is palpable.

@Sammie 51- You can't be serious! After all the blunders our current "leader" has made you think Cain would damage the image of this country? NO ONE, to date, has done more damage to not only our image but our national security. We need someone like Cain to help bring us back from the brink of destruction. Oh forget it; liberals like the way this country is heading – over the cliff.

No one? That's a laugh. I have just one letter for you: W.

After watching the video and listening to Jim Acosta's repeated exaggeration of Mr. Cain's response, it seems like the only over the top element of this story is an egotistical reporter who thinks that he has the right to demand immediate responses to questions that are intended only to assert the reporter's agenda and biases.

The meltdown is starting. Cain hasn't been throught anything at all compared to what Barack Obama has had to put up with. Look at all the moron "birthers" and "deathers".

I know Mr Cain wants to avoid getting bullied off of his core message, but this is a story that isn't going to just blow over. Until there's full disclosure it will just drag on for months like Obama's birth certificate. For a savvy businessman Cain isn't gaming the news cycle very well.

if Cain can't stand the heat, he needs to get out of the kitchen - he probably couldn't even handle a pizza oven nowadays.... by the way, did you catch what else he said? he didn't even know China has nukes! and this guy thinks he's going to be president.... nah, it's all about the money and his book tour - ka-ching!!!

Next Up – The standard GOP Photo op with his poor wife forced to stand next to him. Herman will say he’s ashamed and ask to forgiven for his past indiscretions. He’ll say he prayed for redemption and Thanks be to Jesus – he was Saved and he’s got a new book coming out with his old boss Kneel Boortz ‘splaining how adding a huge sales tax to everything is a goooooood idea for poor people trying to buy food.

How many JOBS has the 112th Teapublican House of Representatives created?????????

I simply do not understand how the Republicans can always look at their candidates through rose colored glasses. Everybody is human. Just because they are Republicans does not mean they are angels. Stop defending them just to defend them. Make your candidate earn your respect and your support. President Obama had to earn mine. I didn’t vote for him the first time around but he has proved himself to me, so he gets my vote this time. Insisting the media move on before all the facts are in the open and accusing the left of a smear campaign without any proof to support your claim are both untenable positions. If you truly thought for yourselves you would insist on getting to the bottom of these claims, even if just to clear your candidate, and you would only allow provable facts. You would not participate in willful ignorance and listen to and repeat wild unsupported claims. You can require full disclosure and honesty from your chosen candidate and still support him/her, these are not mutually exclusive.

This is a free country, you can support and vote for whoever you want, but just know you aren’t convincing the rest of us when you tell people to just ignore the bad things your candidate does and move on or accuse his political enemies, whoever they are, of anything without solid proof.

Haha...and now it's coming out that in some madness that occurred earlier, when campaign and hotel staff were pushing against reporters and people trying to ask question, some reporter basically got hit in the head...hard. Note to Cain: these are the people you're supposed to woo, not shoo. THEY control the headlines. THEY are your free interface with the public. Oh, whatever...the dude's done.

Just ignore them Herman... We're behind you and that is all that matters.

LOL! Like that's going to help him. Can't wait until his victims get their voices heard in this scandal. Cain will never beat Obama in the general election anyway, so Mr. Cain will need all the help he can get.
