
Washington (CNN) - Oklahoma Republican political consultant Chris Wilson confirmed to CNN that he witnessed Herman Cain demonstrate inappropriate conduct toward a female employee while he led the National Restaurant Association. Wilson first made this charge Wednesday in an interview with KTOK, an Oklahoma radio station.
In that interview, Wilson-who is doing polling for a political action committee supporting Texas Governor Rick Perry's campaign but is independent of it–described an incident with Cain and a female employee.

(CNN) - An attorney representing a woman who accused Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual harassment has been in touch with the National Restaurant Association, the group said Wednesday.
"Attorney Joel Bennett contacted the National Restaurant Association this morning. An Association representative promptly returned his call and asked Mr. Bennett to contact the Association's outside counsel. Mr. Bennett indicated that he would do so tomorrow, after he met with his client," said Sue Hensley, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Communications for the National Restaurant Association.
New York (CNN) - Political activists from MoveOnPolitical.org and other liberal organizations gathered Wednesday in New York to protest against GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney and corporate greed.
Romney held a private breakfast fundraiser at the Grand Hyatt hotel while two dozen protesters stood outside chanting and holding mock campaign signs that read "Greed is Good! Romney-Gekko 2012," referring to the infamous Wall Street movie and fictional character Gordon Gekko, played by actor Michael Douglas. The signs showed a photo of Romney as CEO of Bain Capital.

Washington (CNN) - House Speaker John Boehner mocked President Barack Obama's assertion that the country was "better off" now because of actions his administration took.
An incredulous Boehner, asked Wednesday about the president's answer to a question about the status of the economy, raised his voice and replied, "Are you kidding me?"

Concord, New Hampshire (CNN) - Benefiting from the luck of the draw Wednesday, Rep. Michele Bachmann's name will be listed near the top of New Hampshire primary ballots in January.
The secretary of state's office holds a drawing to determine the order candidates will be listed on the ballot. Each candidate is assigned a number, and the deputy secretary of state draws one number out of a box.

(CNN) - He made headlines for smoking in a web video last week, but Herman Cain's chief-of-staff Mark Block said he'll kick his cigarette habit if his boss gets elected president.
"When he puts his hand on the Bible, sworn in as the 45th president, it's the last day that I have a smoke," said Block in an interview with The Daily Caller on Tuesday.

Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama on Wednesday issued new orders aimed at speeding up transportation projects he says will put construction workers back on the job, using the opportunity to blast congressional Republicans who have blocked similar legislation.
Standing before the aging Francis Scott Key Bridge over the Potomac River, Obama again criticized Republicans who have blocked the jobs bill he put forward in September, telling an audience of construction workers.

Washington (CNN) - Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, are hosting House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) and his wife, Diana, for dinner tonight.
It may seem like an unusual double date. Cantor has often been a thorn in the White House's side, pulling out of "the Biden talks" on deficit reduction in June to leave negotiations on raising the debt ceiling to President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner. Those negotiations ultimately failed to reach a "grand bargain" to reduce the deficit by several trillion dollars over ten years.
