Who's backing up Cain accusers?
(CNN) - By now, it's a familiar scenario.
The woman walks soberly to the podium surrounded by lawyers and supporters. Silence falls and cameras flash as she delivers a prepared statement, followed by comments from a lawyer, possibly Gloria Allred.

If so Mr Herman Cain must be TRUE to himself snd sue these women for "Defamation of his character" Make these women repeat their allegations under OATH if true.....................!!
All I can say is there is a different standard being held by the mediafor Herman Cain. Case in point Bill Clinton..
he doesn't know who to blame so he throws out every group in the book. Say goodbye Herm. Even if you wiggle your way out of this, your behavior in dealing with it shows you are not ready for prime time

Great suggestion you've got there. There's really only one defense the women have against being sued like that. They can just simply pull out the signed agreements *compensating* them from the first time the allegations began to surface. Then they can counter-sue for a frivilous lawwuit, and take him for some more.
I'm tired of the GOP making people famous, that after their 15 minutes are up, won't realize that it's time for them to go away.

Of course, there is a different standard. It is a totally different set of circumstances. Bill Clinton's accuser, Flowers(?), didn't have signed settlements for his past actions. Bill Clinton didn't try to deny that such settlements even existed, or make numerous other lies, changing position by the hour. And, Cain is *still* shifting his position.
Who's backing up the Cain accusers ? The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
"The over 11,000 charges of sexual harassment that EOC sees each year doesn't include all that occur in workplace. Those are just people who were willing to make a formal complaint to the EOC," she said. "It doesn't include people who may go through the company's internal process, and then there are people who don't complain at all, but stick it through, or quit rather than face retaliation."
What is even more troubling are those who (in this particular situation) attempt to "bolster" their candidate's credibility by simply wishing to brush away the fact that sexual harassment is still thriving in an otherwise civil society. I would suggest men talk to their wives ... their sisters ... their daughters, first by asking THEM just how often THEY personally have been privy to inappropriate behavior at THEIR place of work, and then ask themselves if they would want their wife ... their sister ... or their daughter to be forced to publicly address those personal issues of harassment for the likes of Rush Limbaugh and other media hounds to mock and humiliate for days on end as "liars", "gold-diggers", and "those too uppity for their own good".
Whose behind these accusations.?? How about the people involved!! To easy?? Better make something up.
carl rowe and the democratic potentates need to be ashamed of the way they are conducting themselves. The people of this great nation deseve more than some bimbo saying they were patted on their buttox and then trying to persuade the rest of voters that the offender(cain) is not fit for political office.

I will say this as a woman, these women make me sooo angry, first of all why, why on earth now? Why didn't they speak out before, by speaking out now their credability comes into question, what is their motives. So now I hear there was some type of payout from the Restaurant organization or something like that. So this tells me was it hush money? Did something really happen? Good old saying"WHERE THERE'S SMOKE THERE'S FIRE" @ EASYDOESIT, THERE IS NO DIFFERENT STANDARD GOING ON HERE, DON'T MAKE THIS RACIAL OK. If Cain wants the GOP nomination he should have expected this would happen, hey Newt came under fire months ago regarding a lot of areas in his life not just the Tiffany jewelry issue.

@easydoesit: different standard? Are you serious? The media reported on President Clinton day after day, month after month leading up to and after the impeachment procedings. Don't you remember seeing Gringrich's smirking face and hearing his comments day after day? Comedians are still making jokes about President Clinton to this day. Cain's been dealing with this for all of two weeks. When he deals with the media coverage for a couple of years, maybe then we can talk about different standards.
Most women have at one time or another been sexually harassed by a male in their office. However, most men know just how far to go – then there are those Cain predators who push so far as to demand sexual favors in exchange for any promotions given. This is when they need to be STOPPED immediately and any women who experiences this should put a stop to it right away even if it causes her her job. Cain should not have been allowed to get this far without some woman taking a stand and saying NO MORE. I hope more women stand up to him and send a message that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated at any level no matter who you are – respect me. Period.
The Democratic Party. That is pretty obvious, from the "associations" these accusers have with high ranking Democratic Party officials.
The Democrats have always been the "dirty politics" party.
Suppose Mr. Herb was holding a tail like Huntsman, would these so-called accusers come along? I hope not. What is happening now to Mr. 999 is trying to pull the man down. Nothing more nothing less. These women who were begging for help those time, should feel very ashamed of themselves , while they are aware they can not cry for help from Cain at the time being.
@Lynda: excellent post. If the men in our lives knew how many inappropriate comments and actions we face in our work lives, they'd be shocked and angry.
