(CNN) - Newt Gingrich, whose campaign was in trouble earlier this year, is now among the top tier of 2012 presidential hopefuls.

Is it funny or sad that the field of candidates in the GOP primary is so bad that Newt Gingrich is considered top tier?

He's not even that intellectual, he just THINKS he is. He rarely talks details. He mainly lectures us in a demeaning way about why everyone else is wrong and he knows better because he's studied history. Well if so NEWT, where are the details on how to proceed? We've been waiting ever since you were thrown our of the speaker's job.
If he is president nobody will be able to get along with him. Has anyone endorsed him?

This is the same Newt Gingrich who resigned from congress in disgrace after being caught in unethical practices. Now he wants to be president. Sounds like another Richard Nixon to me.

What's old is Barack Obama, his lack of leadership, and his inability to create jobs. Now that Newt is in the race, let the attacks begin. Anyone who is satisfied with our current president must enjoy mediocrity. Real leadership and change is on the way in 2012.

The rest of the GOP field crumbles to the ground and there's the little Newt-nugget standing tall in a short and insignificant kind of way. Another example of failing your way up. Congratulations, you are now less of a disappointment than the rest.
