Is it funny or sad that the field of candidates in the GOP primary is so bad that Newt Gingrich is considered top tier?

He's not even that intellectual, he just THINKS he is. He rarely talks details. He mainly lectures us in a demeaning way about why everyone else is wrong and he knows better because he's studied history. Well if so NEWT, where are the details on how to proceed? We've been waiting ever since you were thrown our of the speaker's job.

If he is president nobody will be able to get along with him. Has anyone endorsed him?

  11. Former Republican, now an Independent

This is the same Newt Gingrich who resigned from congress in disgrace after being caught in unethical practices. Now he wants to be president. Sounds like another Richard Nixon to me.

So he's going to be the next big thing? Wow Republicans will do anything to avoid voting for Romney.

What's old is Barack Obama, his lack of leadership, and his inability to create jobs. Now that Newt is in the race, let the attacks begin. Anyone who is satisfied with our current president must enjoy mediocrity. Real leadership and change is on the way in 2012.

What a statement to the desperate and pathetic state of the gop. A disgraced former speaker that was removed from his position on ethics violations is close to leading the pack. Absolutely pathetic.

3-wives 2-affairs; 84-ethics charges; 300K sanctions; asked to resign as Speaker by...ooh...Boehner among the other GOP leaders at the time...he's counting on short-term-memory ... will someone wake up this electorate

The rest of the GOP field crumbles to the ground and there's the little Newt-nugget standing tall in a short and insignificant kind of way. Another example of failing your way up. Congratulations, you are now less of a disappointment than the rest.

I don't want your Hatchet Job opinion pal. Just report the news. I'll decide who I like without a very biased opinion–Whatever happened to journalistic ethics.–Or have they changed over the years–

Newt the over the hill lying, cheating philandered that dumped a couple of sick wives while he was stiffing a couple of new mistresses. Newt who doesn't have enough money for the current lady and is an over the hill fat old man has nothing left except his big fat mouth that continually utters garbage. You were and are history and bad history at that.

Here we go again, another republican who has signed off on the, then contract with America, which is collusion and would have signed the treasonous "Norquist" pledge.
