Newt Gingrich back from the brink

Sheffield, Iowa (CNN) - Newt Gingrich will tell you his sudden surge in the polls surprises even him. Well, sort of. He thought it was going to come six weeks from now. Just in time for the Iowa caucuses.

A dead candidate walking just last summer, the former speaker of the House still oozes confidence. He now knows he has a real shot at the GOP nomination.

Only republicans will support a womanizer who resigned from congress in shame.

Teabaggers just love to support former lobbyists, so this is no surprise.

We already tried that flavor and it sucked. If you want your mom and dad kicked off soc, sec ,Medicare, medicad, food stamps, vote for the teapublican, then you can support them.

I think we all have made mistakes in our life. Look in the mirror people, just because a man or woman runs for president doesn't mean s/he has to have the life free of mistakes. He is the only one in the GOP field with his eye on the ball and not on Herman Cain's issues or Rick Perry's issues. He simply wants the best for America - we're open for business Nov 2012!

Newt Gingrich is the only Speaker in the history of Congress to be SANCTIONED for ETHIC violations.

Newt Gingrich has admitted CHEATING on ALL of his wives. Ironic the he has had more than Romney and Huntsman combined. The double irony is that he was cheating on wife #2 with a congressional staffer while leading the charge against Clinton for the Lewinski affair – Can you say Hypocrisy?

Newt Gingrich had become such a liability to Congressional GOP, that in 1998 they forced him to RESIGN. Not just his chair as Speaker, but resigned from Congress altogether.

Newt made $300,000 peddling his influence to Freddy Mac, then lied about it on national TV, insisting that is the going rate for a history teacher...

If Newt were smart, he would retire. Get while the getting is good. Instead, he's going to be bone-headed about it, and continue to act is his own worst interests, and blame the media and some nebulous conspiracy for all his woes...

Can we say ETHICS VIOLATIONS???? Geeeeez....... are the Republicans SO desperate as to put forth Newt the creep? This man has cheated on his wives! He is in his 3rd marriage! What's happened to the old Republican cry of "CHARACTER!" ??????? Newt has not ethics, no morals.

But okay...... the GOP's got nothing! So they will end up with Newt as their candidate, because they KNOW that the Religious-right will not ever....... never......... vote for Mitt the Mormon!

@TONY: "we have all made mistakes in our lives"....... Tony, I have been married for 38 years to my husband we have never cheated, we have never broken our vows!

Also, Newt was the only speaker of the House ever to have an ethics violations against him! And while Newt was busy demonizing Pres. Clinton for lying about having sex with Monica, Newt WAS CHEATING on his wife!

This man is the best the GOP have to offer America??????????? No thanks!!!!

    OBAMA 2012!

and Democrats have never been guilty of this? At least the way he handled it was far better than the recent Democrats. I'm sure your opinion of Democrats was the same, right?
