Washington (CNN) - The Republican National Committee Friday said it raised $8.5 million last month, bringing to nearly $68.7 million the amount the party committee has brought in this year.
"After a record-setting August and September, we have added another $8.5 million in October. The RNC has nearly $13.5 million cash on hand. In the past nine and a half months, we have added over $13 million to our cash on hand and have retired over $10 million in debt," RNC Chairman Reince Priebus said in a statement.
The RNC touts that its major donors and grassroots supporters are returning in large numbers, adding that the average contribution they received was $54.
"Their support has empowered us to build an effective, competitive operation to defeat Barack Obama in 2012," Priebus said.
The Democratic National Committee brought in more than $7.9 million last month, with some of that coming from the Obama Victory Fund.
Democrats have alienated working class Americans by embracing the fringe OccupyWallStreet. The union goons and trust fund liberal babies are disrupting the lives of Americans trying to take their children to school, go to work, earn a living, keep their neighborhoods safe, to grow their local economies, and keep law and order. I will never, ever support any democrat who has sided with these haters. OWC has destroyed our economy and their attack on first responders in disgusting. Unions have shown they are not pro-growth, but pro-anarchy.
Why expand and hire more people in order to make a higher net profit when you can just pay the GOP to lower yuor taxes?
it will take more than that to beat president obama. dream on baby.
OBAMA/BIDEN 2012
The RNC's donations since July are skewed because people wanted to donate to the candidate of the month, then realized that their candidate was weak, and donated their money to the general "defeat Obama" fund at RNC headquarters out of general disgust, instead.
Repubs want Obama to loose in 2012 no matter what it costs the American people, and they will sacrifice anything and everything for that to happen. Hopefully it will bleed them dry.
"Their support has empowered us to build an effective, competitive operation to defeat Barack Obama in 2012," Priebus said.
Raise ALL the money you want Rinse – but it won't help you get another republican president in the WH. We will show up in the polls where and when it matters most and you can take that to the bank of your republican gods.
I can tell you that the Obama Haters are so much more virulent than the so called Bush haters several years ago. I didn't condone them either but these so-called 'Christian' folks must know some other God than I, as a Christian, do. They quite literally disgust me. They so bitterly want to see the demise of President Obama so much they are willing to take the country down with it. I don't agree with everything Occupy Wall street or even the Tea Partiers say or do but neither are all wrong. If anyone didn't think at some point in the way the country has been moving over the last 10 years would create an Occupy Wallstreet type of demonstrations, they simply had their head in the sand. I think it's time that the moderates in this country of which there are more of than either of these factions really step up to the plate and say Enough! Tea partiers to me are more hypocritical in that they want all their benefits to stay in place while cutting for everyone else. I think the majority (not the Marijuana advocates, etc). just want a job and fair treatment. I'm not sure what is wrong with that. But when the gap between a CEO's pay is 400 X that of the average worker, there's something wrong with that picture. I'm 58 and have been working in the corporate world all my life so I speak from experience. And by the way before you starting your standard bashing of me and calling me 'Libertard' or whatever infantile name calling you use, I have worked since I was 12 years old and still work hard everyday. So my response to you is to keep your name calling to yourself. You only show your ignorance.
I bet you didn't get to many contributions from Tampa fl, where the rnc, tried to stiff the local hotel owners even though they had a signed contract for the Aug, 2012 convention in Tampa , cut, cut , cut. They though they were paying to much, who cares if they can feed their families, they can get food stamps, well until we cut them next year. Screw them, anyway , I found a better deal, somebody said we can get free rooms, free airfare a great hall and free Chinese food , if we move our convention there, they said they will even vote for us if they can figure out how to do it, god knows, we might need the votes. I think they are really happy with our jobs program. Larry , we don't have a jobs program, go figure, anyway moe , we should take the deal, screw Tampa, its to hot here anyway. Who are they curely? I think there like the btw, anyway, have you ever heard of the pla? Ah, who cares as long as they pay and I think its taxfree.
Who knew racist and extremist groups had that much money to give the Grand Obstructionist Party. I still donate to the DNC every paycheck. I will be taking time off work every month in 2012 to volunteer to re-elect President Obama and get as many of those extremists from the Tea party (what failure their term has been) and obstructionist out of Congress.
"OWC has destroyed our economy and their attack on first responders in disgusting. "
Craziest nonsense I read all day. You win a cookie.
These guys are bragging about their immorality. They are touting the fact that they sell out to the highest bidder. They celebrate the fact that elections are a matter of who gets the most money from the rich.
I'd be embarrassed, not proud.
"Democrats have alienated working class Americans by embracing the fringe OccupyWallStreet"
Exactly! That's why Ohio embraced SB2 with a huge defeat of labor and giving the Republican Gov a free pass to continue his pro-middle class agenda....oh wait, nevermind.
Next up: that other Guardian of the Middle Class, Scootie Walker.
Hello, Anon, what color is the sky in your world? Just because you may want it to be so, does not make it reality. Republicans are about as useful to the middle class as a rain-slicked track is to to a NASCAR driver.
All I can say is that there are a lot of dumb, rich people out there hoping a Republican can get into office to keep their taxes down. Keep dreaming losers.
All it takes is money to buy a Repub politician – and EVERYONE knows it. Sometimes yo u pay a little more, doesn't mean they get more for their money – usually less actually.
"The union goons and trust fund liberal babies are disrupting the lives of Americans trying to take their children to school, go to work, earn a living, keep their neighborhoods safe, to grow their local economies, and keep law and order."
Typical GOBP deathcult propaganda. I notice you failed to mention the numerous elderly and veterans, not to mention people taking time off from their jobs, who support OWS. All this article shows is who supports the 1% at the expense of the rest of us.
It is strange how tea-baggers like to push the negative neo-con lies about the OWS group, but love to worship the fox fantasies about their little clan of fear & hate. Tea-baggs have done nothing but prove they are weak, greedy, and selfish. The tea-baggers hate America for the diversity and determination that makes the US great.
Hey funny name rich guy, it's not about the money. Not everyone can give but they will be at the polls come 2012.
the cain guy's are a bunch of nuts. that brother make blacks look dumb...
I would rename this the "Obama Early Retirement Fund". But it is actually goin gto mean the early retirement for a LOT of leftist Democrats/Socialists/"Progressives". November 2012 can't get here fast enough.
Repubs want Obama to loose in 2012 no matter what it costs the American people, and they will sacrifice anything and everything for that to happen. Hopefully it will bleed them dry. WOW this post is so so true !
Sniffit - don't be so quick to dismiss: "OWC has destroyed our economy and their attack on first responders in disgusting. "
Maybe the person meant "Old Withered (Fake) Chrischuns" by OWC.
Nah, OK you're right - they get their cookie.
The Koch brothers and the Supreme Court score again! What a surprise. Grassroots percentage vs. corporate and special interest percentage might be interesting for both parties.
rancce is coking the books- republicans are not pouring $$$$$$$$$$$i into the RNC they know the tea party freshmen will be gone and more than a few of older house ,membersn also-
Leave the GOP alone! They need the $ to keep SUPPRESSING THE VOTE, don'cha know? In most states the Repubs have succeeded in making it hard for people to vote by them having to show picture ID, and by not having early voting, people who never had trouble before. This will affect the elderly, minorities, and the poor. Now why exactly would the Republs want to do that, pray tell?? Hmmmn....
The Republicans during the midterm elections, promised jobs, jobs jobs, so the question is, where are the jobs? Not so easy is it party of NO!
