Obama to spare two turkeys

(CNN) - Two turkeys from Willmar, Minnesota are counting their blessings this day before Thanksgiving, set to officially be pardoned by President Obama and transported to classy digs at Mount Vernon.

For two turkeys the day before at least 45 million of their comrades are to be consumed at dinner tables across the country, it's the equivalent of winning the jackpot.

In Texas, they would have been executed whether it was necessary or not. I am thankful for our intelligent president, and all that he has done to make our country better.

The President should not pardon the two turkeys this year. He should accept them and name one "The House," and the other one "The Senate" and send them to the White House Chef to immediately dispatch them to be cooked, eaten and digested and send a message that they will end up in the same place shortly (i.e. toilet, thunder mug, the bog, etc.) as will the current House and Senate elected officials after the next election.

Along with being an intelligent and very capable world leader, Pres. Obama has a really sincere, great smile and laugh. He's just an all round nice guy and America is lucky to have him as their President.
