Washington (CNN) - NBC has apologized to Rep. Michele Bachmann after the house band for "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" played an inappropriate song during her appearance on the show Monday, CNN confirmed Thursday.
Bachmann received a letter Wednesday from Doug Vaughan, NBC's senior vice president for special programs and late night, that apologized for what happened, said Alice Stewart, the Republican presidential hopeful's spokeswoman.

Glad I got your attention. Nice try at obfuscatiung the issue. Want me to give you the definition of that word as well ?
That makes three words for you to try to understand. Right, Wrong, and Obfuscatuion.
To see Republicans play the victim is laughable. Are they not the party of lying to the UN in order to fire missiles into unarmed women and children, and taking away the Rights of fellow American citizens?
These ‘Patriots’ think they can fabricate an American bastardization of Christianity and call it the word of God – or cure
gay people – or accuse all Muslims and/or brown people of being terrorists?
When Bachmann, Palin or any Republican plays the victim, the image I see is Facist collaborators complaining about their haircuts.
That song was accurate; and well done for giving Bachmann or any Republican scum the respect that they are due.
What trailer park in Minnesota keeps sending this abortion to Washington DC?
Bachmann does not have a sense of humor. She and Fox have alot in common : they are both liares and make up stories to make themselves look good. In fact the both look like jerks, and have nothing to say that any of us want or need to hear. What would be funny is Bachmann to go on Fox and tell the American people that she is withdrawing from the race, cause she doesn't stand a hope in hell of getting elected to anything. Also I think that ALL members of the do nothing Congress should be recalled.
"Lots of talk of Bachman's lies, distortions, and getting what she deserves .....and what Hannity, O'Reilly Limbaugh have said and done... This may come as a surprise to you, but Obermann and Maddow Maher and Schultz are as bad. "
Ahh, the usual false equivalence "argument" from the weak minded cult members on the right. Here's a clue: KO and MM use the truth to zing others. Hannity, Rush Dumbo and the manure spreaders on the right do not. Understand?
The 'truth' in your eyes is a distortion of reality, my liberal friend. Not surprising, but very disappointing. Like Lyndon Johnson and the Gulf of Tonkin incident , you are seeing shadows and tilting at windmills. Glad you changed you post name., though, ....... One giant step for mankind...........
Signing off .......Time for TG dinner.......Hope all of you, Dems and GOP folks have a good one......... The First Amendment is alive and well. Feeling bad for the moderators having to work today and put up with us ........
If the shoe fits Bachmann....and obviously it fits. Just do all of us a favor and drop out of the race for POTUS...you do not have a chance in...well we all know where you do not have a chance. Actually, I loved the song introducing you...it fits, just like the shoe. Cinderella you are not, no prince in his right mind is comning to resuce you...you are poison for America.
I don't know the song at all but, if it was in poor taste I thank the network for apologizing. Now, if NASCAR, the AMA, Chris Matthews, and Fox, and every Republican would find it in their hearts to apologize to the first family...I would be very grateful.
Just like Palin...ever the victim. As they say, "man-up" Michelle
Why did Fallon or NBC issue an apology? The song pretty much sums up the truth about Bachmann.
