Kansas governor apologizes for 'overreaction' to teen's disparaging tweet
(CNN) - Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback apologized Monday for what he called his staff's "overreaction" to a disparaging tweet directed at him by a high school senior during a state Capitol visit.
Emma Sullivan, 18, said late Sunday that she would not write an apology letter to the governor - as her principal had requested - that was due Monday.

That's a really curious name for a politician initially reacting in a capricious fashion, Gov. Sam Brownback. But, hey, that's what today's Republicans do to people. "If you are not with us, then you are against us" and you will be destroyed.
Conservatives never fail to amuse me. They spew the most vile garbage, yet they cannot take it when it's spewed back at them. Brownback is yet another great example. Perhaps someone should read the first amendment to him.
Good for her. She's just a kid but she has the right to express herself. The Governor's staff made fools of themselves, IMO. Her school should just let it go as well.
Really. Either Brownback and/or hs staff have little else else to do but go trolling for insults about the Gov. on the Web. Worse, that they sought to squelch this young lady's right to free speech (why can't Republicans ever GET that?). What in the world was the school administrator thinking? An apology?
Republicans (like this dude, and Bachmann, and Palin, et al) need to get over this sense of victimhood. First, it makes no sense as they lie their tales off about Obama (and just about everything else), but secondly, it really makes them look weak and insipid. People have the right to call you stupid, especially when you are.
So this is news? Teens do things!
Sam Brownback needs to apologize to the voters and fire the person on his staff that started this mess.....is that all they have to do is worry about what a teenager tweets????????

What if Obama was accused by 4 white women
What if Obama cheated on 2 wives and had ethics cases as a Senator
What if Obama said Iran should have a nuclear weapon if they wanted to
What if Obama just made things up
What if Obama put cross hairs over competing districts
What if Obama called a school to punish a girl for speaking what she felt of him

I'll bet this story never made it on the foreign news channel (Fox). That is why right wingnuts should tune into American media every once in a while, to see what their ignorant elected republican officials are up to.

Brownback was an ass in the Senate and he still is one as governor of that great wasteland they call Kansas.
Free speech, what do these politicans think, that they are royalty they are not, they are public servants who work for her and us.
