(CNN) – It looks like the gloves are beginning to come off between Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. The two Republican presidential frontrunners are starting to go after each other after trying to stay above the fray over the past many weeks and months.
This should not be surprising since they are in a fierce battle for the party's nomination and the clock is ticking; Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada and Florida are coming up quickly.

gloves off, shirt off, and when election comes, pants off....nation in trouble then...
Let's get ready to grumble!
They will be biting their own tongues, trying to respect that 11th Commandment thing of Reagan's. That is until Newt invents another one of his "newtonian barbs": like "right wing socialist engineering." THAT's when the gloves come off and they really start throwing roundhouses and front kicks.
Neither Laurel and Hardy nor Abbott and Costello had anyhting on these two jokers.
A career politican (cough Freddie and Fannie consultant) and career adulter versus a career weathervane and career candidate (because he loses elections). Nice choices GOP.
I'd pay good money to see these two going at it. For real, not just running their mouths, but really mixing it up. Get this on film, and have something to make even a dog laugh.
"Romney and Gingrich take gloves off"
Well, I suppose that's ok...as long as they keep the dental damns up while servicing their corporate overlords.
These two act more like snotty high school cheer leaders, than candidates for president.
Look at these two. Old millionaire lifelong chums. Hung out at the same country clubs, went to the same fundraisers and parties. Probably had a few girlfriends in common. Now they have to fool us into thinking that they are going at each other's throat.
Yeah.
Sure.
Herman, you NEVER had a chance dude. Hope you sold all your books out of your trunk.

Fierce battle indeed. Wake me up when they get beyond the bathtub splashing, OK? Poor media. Even it is having a hard time keeping GOPers headlines interesting.
Weathervane for sure, spinning around, smacking the fat one right in the jowls. You all are toooo funny!
Oh look, they're still giggling over all the meatheads believing that "trickle-down economics" works the way they say it does.
"When Rick was struggling to remember, I called out "EPA" and he repeated it!" HaHa, HaHA, HAAaaaa....
