Time Magazine on Romney: 'Why don't they like me?'
(CNN) - Time Magazine's latest cover is out, with a photo of Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney. The tag line: "Why don't they like me?"
In a blog post accompanying the cover's release, Time columnist Joe Klein writes, "Romney has problems he can't do anything about. He's wealthy, a member of the Establishment in a party that is trending very strongly toward right-wing populism. He's also a Mormon, which is rarely mentioned by Republicans, but is an obvious disadvantage among the party's evangelical protestant base."

And that's just why the right wing doesn't like him. Liberals and moderates do not like him because he is a status quo conservative politician, out to double down on the policies that drove us into this mess and are keeping us mired in it.
Typical left wing rag cover... But not to worry, the country will easily vote for Mitt over the liar-in-chief we have now.
Hmmm... Couldn't the same cover be done with Obama??? He's polling in the 40's, or is it the 30s? Almost 30% of DEMOCRATS want somebody different to run.
"But he’s still spinning his wheels, and it’s getting worse–in the past month his support has dropped from the neighborhood of 25% nationally among Republicans, to 20% more or less, and he’s doing worse in all the early primary states, except New Hampshire, and even there Gingrich is gaining ground on him."
This is exactly what happened to Romney in 2008. And unlike in 2008, Romney is starting to come unglued. Apparently, he really DID think he was heir apparent just going through the nomination motions without a care in the world. He is stumbling, becoming arrogant during interviews, and is proving himself to be an incredible jerk who comes across more as a whiner than a leader. Not good, especially now that he needs to address Newt - who might actually decide he really IS running for President and shake off his own lethargic "Book of the Month" club tour by getting down to the actual business of running a real campaign.
Romney 2012 ! If you really care about the country and not just your opinion and your ideas.
That would be a great Time cover for Obama: "Why don`t they like me anymore??"
I am not fond of Mittens because he has no core values except to say what he thinks any small crowd wants to hear. The ABM (anybody but Mittens) campaign is a result of republicans disliking the spineless flip flopping jellyfish from MA. While the Kochs and the turd blossom Rove are salivating at the thought of running the country under the name of Mittens, it isn't going to happen.
Mittens is being rejected by 80% of his own party. Just by GOP voters alone, Rasmussen would put Mittens at a negative 60% approval rating. I am sure it is lower when you include democrats. Why would teabaggers want to waste their vote on a limp wristed failed career politician?
People don't like you Romney because you are one of 1% while others (99%) sleep outside begging for help. You do not feel their pain now and you won't either if elected as President.

Hey Rick old buddy, Try a comparison between the intrest rates under Carter and now. You will be surprised. Give me 4 more years of a guy smart enough to get the worst terrorists in the world without getting us into another long lasting war that kills people and drains our funds. Thanks to President Obama we didn't sink into a terrible depression and my 401k gained back the third of it I lost during the Bush admin. and then some. I trust Obama to do what is right for America and for middle class people like me.
...because you're not "pure" Mittens. That's why. The american taliban (taking it's cue from 1930's Germany) is only looking for the true, hard core believers who adhere to their set of standards. I'm surprised they haven't come out with the medical tests (ie size and shape of the head) to weed out the undesirables
Romney sat idly by and let the GOP be hijacked by the nutty right. That is why he will NEVER win the nomination and justly so. The nutty right will never accept a Mormon or a Muslim.
Mitt, Paul, Bachman, and Huntsman are the most Trustworthy of all. PERIOD. Mitt being in the front of the line.
