Women for Cain' launched by campaign
(CNN) – While Herman Cain has yet to decide if he will continue his presidential campaign following an allegation he engaged in a 13-year extramarital affair, his campaign is pressing on with efforts to promote his candidacy.
Team Cain officially launched a "Women for Cain" website Friday billed as an "online national fellowship of women dedicated to helping elect Herman Cain as the next President of the United States."
The site says the former pizza executive is a strong advocate for women and is complete with testimonials from over 30 women. It also names Cain's wife of 43 years, Gloria, as the national chairperson.
Most of the comments encourage Cain to remain in the race, with some criticizing the women who have lobbed accusations at the former radio talk show host. Other messages ask him to ignore the media.
"I hope you pursue a slander, libel, defamation of character suit against this moneygrubbing, lying woman. Granted, she has no $, but it would send a strong message," a comment reads on the homepage.
One post calls the women "money hungry" that "make me sick to my stomach."
Another says "PLEASE DO NOT PULL OUT OF THE RACE," adding that she is "encouraging everyone to ignore the media, GOP establishment, (elitists, statists) and the Obama administration to do the right thing for our country … Remember Clarence Thomas and hang in there."
Dr. Alveda King, a Cain supporter and lead voice behind the drive, said the site is the culmination of months of work intended to connect "people of like hearts and minds that are praying for Mr. and Mrs. Cain."
"I would be very blessed if Mr. Cain decides to stay in the race," King, the niece of the late Martin Luther King, Jr. and daughter of the late civil rights activist Re. A.D. William King, Sr., told CNN.
Cain has spent recent weeks rebuffing accusations of sexual harassment and most recently claims of an affair from Ginger White, an Atlanta businesswoman.
He is currently "reassessing" his 2012 plans and in an email to supporters Friday asked them to show their support for his candidacy.
"As I assess the future of my campaign, I need to gauge the support of the people of this great nation," Cain wrote. "In today's political environment, the only way we can gauge true support is by the willingness of our supporters to invest in this effort."

Bottom line is this – he gave money to someone over the course of multiple years without telling his spouse. How many married folks out there see this as acceptable behavior? Is that the type of decision making ability and honesty you want in a president? Cain is a modern day Greek tragedy done in by his own actions and hubris. He has no one to blame but himself.
If he would lie to his wife during the relationship, (and you can bet he was lying to her) he will lie NOW!!

My BANK said the same thing, so did the cell phone company, car dealer, tax collectors, etc. In other words, money will keep the campaign rolling and let's just forget about whether the ideas really mean anything. In trying to respond to White's allegations, Mr. Cain said that he was just trying to help someone out in these troubled economic times. Sounds reasonable, right? Not so fast there, Mr. Cain. Explain this.
We have not seen 13 years of tough economic times, Mr. Cain. In fact, 13 years ago was boom period for the US economy especially in the Atlanta area following the Olympic Games, which were held there in 1996. Your excuse is pathetic. I suggest you clean it up before you try to run it past your wife.

This is more about deception and breaking oaths as qualities that most view make him unpresidential. We can live with Herb's stupidity about foreign policy, his not knowing about current events, his lack of understanding of the role of government in people's lives, but, it is hard to trust a person accused of using 5 women for his own enjoyment. If you have a huge number of extramarital affairs, it is your own fault. Man up, and get out of the race.
