Cain to make campaign announcement Saturday
Atlanta (CNN) - Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain is expected to address the future of his presidential campaign Saturday at the scheduled opening of a Georgia campaign headquarters.
"Tomorrow in Atlanta, I will be making an announcement," he said Friday at a town hall meeting in Rock Hill, South Carolina. "But nobody's going to get me to make that prematurely, that's all there is to that."

Biden calls for openness to create business climate
(CNN) - On a visit to Turkey, Vice President Joe Biden on Saturday called for increased openness around the world, arguing that political and social freedoms create economic opportunities.

Obama urges payroll tax cut extension, Senate Republicans push balanced budget amendment
(CNN) – President Barack Obama called on Congress Saturday to extend the payroll tax cut, warning a failure to do so would take away a tax break of about $1,000 for middle-class families.
"We can't let that happen," he said in his weekly address. "In fact, I think we should cut taxes on working families and small business owners even more."

George McGovern taken to South Dakota hospital after fall
(CNN) - Liberal Democratic icon George McGovern was taken to a South Dakota hospital after falling Friday night at a nearby university, a library staff member told CNN.
The library staffer at Dakota Wesleyan University - who asked not to be identified, because he was not authorized to discuss the incident - said McGovern fell on the campus in Mitchell, South Dakota.

Justice Department sends Congress 1,400 pages on 'Fast and Furious'
Washington (CNN) - An intense struggle among several senior Justice Department officials was revealed Friday as internal documents on the gun-running Operation Fast and Furious were released by the department.
About 1,400 pages that had been demanded by Capitol Hill investigators were sent to three key congressional committees in advance of what is expected to be a contentious hearing next Thursday when Attorney General Eric Holder testifies on the subject.
