Consumer bureau 'Stalinistic' – Republican senator
Washington (CNNMoney) - Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham defended his vote to block confirmation of a director to run the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau by comparing it to something out of the reign of Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin.
In an appearance on NBC's Meet the Press, Graham accused the bureau of being "something out of a Stalinist era," because it has no board monitoring it and it doesn't have to go through the congressional appropriation process.

Sen. Graham knows that his political neck is at stake because of the Tea Party. Tea Party sycophants have been grumbling that Graham's record is "too liberal" and might launch a primary challenge against him. In other words, he doesn't pass their sniff test and regard him as a RINO.
Who could have imagined 10-15 years ago that people like Gingrich and Graham could one day be regarded as "too liberal" to be a conservative?
