Washington (CNNMoney) - A top White House economic adviser said that congressional deadlock on extending payroll tax cuts and unemployment insurance benefits threatens the U.S. economy, in excerpts of prepared remarks released Wednesday.

Unemployment is down over a half of a percentage point from last year this time.
Thanks to people being out of work so long that they gave up looking for work and therefore are not considered part of the workforce. Surely a WONDERFUL Obama accomplishment!! Another term of Obama failure and EVERYBODY will stop looking for work and then unemployment will be 0%!! It sure looks like that is Obama's plan.
