With caucus in sight, Bachmann hits Iowa airwaves

(CNN) - With days counting down to Iowa's kickoff to the presidential voting season, Michele Bachmann is hitting airwaves in the state to boost her presidential bid.

The two 30-second spots, which feature Bachmann supporters praising the candidate for her candor and socially conservative views, are culled from interviews during Bachmann's campaign swing through all 99 counties in Iowa.

"She says she's not a politician. I like that," says a man in one ad.

Another voter praises Bachmann's campaign style, saying "Whenever she speaks, there's a passion in her, and it's real."

In addition to running statewide on Iowa television stations, the spots will be featured on radio and on the Internet.

Bachmann's campaign strategy has long been focused almost exclusively on Iowa. The Minnesota congresswoman was born in the state, and enjoyed an early boost after winning the Ames Straw Poll in August.

Bachmann previously ran ads in Iowa over the summer that focused on her Iowa roots, as well as fiscally conservative credentials.

Bachmann's standing in Iowa polls has decreased since an early peak after the straw poll win. An Iowa State/Gazette/KCRG poll, taken December 8-18, showed Bachmann in fifth place in Iowa, at 7%.

On Thursday, Bachmann downplayed those numbers, telling CNN's Chief National Correspondent John King the numbers were insignificant.

"There's polls up and down all day. Who cares?" she said.

Republicans have absolutely nothing to offer Americans – except a couple of weasels pandering to the rich and a few others trying to be "the most conservative" by making ridiculous statements suggesting anarchy as the solution set for all social and economic problems. How many Republicans feel obligated to vote for a Republican – no matter how ridiculous a choice that becomes? President Obama has represented the working folks of America in spite of the Republicans efforts to shield the ultra-rich. Can they vote for America rather than the "cult" given them by Rush, Glenn, and Sean.

    HA HA! Oh,Donald,Donald, Donald.

You are like a Shakespearean aside, just when I am getting into the plot you throw a curve ball. Thanks for the laughs. It's fun to watch you bring comedy to the world of politics. Though you are a little late. The Republicans have single handily resurrected Barnum and Bailey.

    Rock on

STOP this ridiculous discourse at once! Due to recent developments concerning Ron Paul, Iowa has been officially declared an irrelevant zone. Return immediately to chewing your delicious cuds or we will be forced to further reduce your rations.

Bachman will most likely be gone after NH, along with Santorum, Perry, and others. While it's good for the primary process to winnow out the marginal cases early, I'll miss her. She was great for laughs. With luck, the TP's will demand her as the VP. Tina Fey, are you studying up on her? We may soon be calling!

Pretty soon time to get the BIG size popcorn at Cosco's. Crazy Bachmann won't go away and Trump is still making noise. Too funny. I really feel badly for you guys who support the Repubs. The bar has really been lowered, lower than it has ever been. The Repub Party will take generations for it to recover from the current Crazy Clown Club.

Mehico is a cultural catastrophe and our govt has helped them spread their societal ills across our great nation. We would have the highest standard of living on earth if it wasnt for the constant stranglehold on our economy due to the invasion and occupation of our soverign land. Look noone wants to break up families just be sure to get them all on the same bus with the anchor offspring seated up front. What about all the areas of our country where the standard of living is govt aid, where the american society has been utterly destroyed and unrecognizable. We once had the greatest nation on earth, now in so many places all we have is "the streets" depressed mehican varios or barrios as they are so proud to say. My once quiet street is now a mexexpressway . The clovis were here long before any mehicans or indians ever existed and they were WHITE. I say deport them all every single one of them, if theyve married americans send them along. Its time to go home and fix their rathole country and stop sucking us dry and preying on innocent americans!

Still got my vote Mr Cain. Herman my man, my main man,the "hermanator" got the nwo scared to death . The man will allow the states to enforce the dadgum law against mehicos invasion of our lives! That would ruin everything for the nwo. Illegals must have murdered at least 720 000 americans in the last 50 years. Cant you hear their blood scream for justice from their graves? Our american brothers and sisters victims of federal ethnic cleansing! Sometimes at night i can hear a car horn stuck on as if in an accident, then another and another and so on when one goes silent the tune is carried on by others till they fill the night with the constant blare, the horrific ane sickening symphony of americans getting wiped out by illegal "hispanic" drivers, theyre wiping out entire families daily
