Santorum points to praise from Palin and Huckabee in radio spot

(CNN) - Rick Santorum is hitting Iowa radio with a spot highlighting his conservative credentials, mentioning praise from politicians beloved by socially conservative voters.

The spot, called "Unite," was released Tuesday on Santorum's website.

A female narrator identifies Santorum as the only "consistent conservative" among the seven candidates running for president.

"A father of seven, a homeschooler and a devoted husband for 21 years, Rick Santorum has been a passionate pro-family conservative for decades," the ad proclaims.

"He wrote the law that ended partial birth abortions, and led the fight to reform the welfare system, ending abuse and moving millions from welfare to work."

The spot goes on to cite socially conservative figures who have lauded Santorum's positions.

"Sarah Palin praised Santorum for protecting the sanctity of life. Mike Huckabee said he loves Santorum’s conviction. And Rush Limbaugh said it would be great if Santorum became president. And Rick is endorsed by Iowa conservatives like Bob Vander Plaats and Sam Clovis.”

The narrator concludes that conservatives must "unite and support Rick Santorum for president."

Santorum's campaign went up with its first paid advertisement in Iowa in mid-December.

The 30-second television spot similarly highlighted Santorum's family life and socially conservative values. They have since produced a "pop-up" style ad that provides viewers with details about the former Pennsylvania senator's life and platform.

  1. The Greedy Old Pigs are nuts!

A short time later, the Santorum campaign announced plans for a second ad featuring a signed photo President Reagan once gave to Mr. Santorum.

Rick and Newt are broke before the first vote is cast. GOBP wingnuts continue to force Romney down teabaggers' throats.

Palin and Huckabee? Seriously? Why on earth would he want to be identified with one of the dumbest people on earth and a man who can't separate his bible banging from politics?

Oh yeah, if you are going to be hailed as the next coming of nothing it's nice to see that the huckster and the idiot from AK are praising you for whatever sick, right wing ideas they share with you.
Just remember overpopulator, the moral majority is neither. Not anymore, not ever again!! The world has evolved from the old ideas of the stone age.
