Too bad to see this. America is a place where Republican-led fanaticism wants to take hold. As a dual American and Canadian citizen, I am sad to see the Amerikkka that Republicans want to create. The world fears Republicans, knowing they represent the worst of America – the worst of American ignorance. Sad.

    Peace

He won't be missed much. He was a bit of a burden to the party he pretended he belongs!

He won't be missed at all. In fact, I would not doubt that he even leaves Washington D.C. He stands to make much more money as a lobbyist for special interests. He could make even more by "Gingriching" for corporations and special interests and selling books to conservatives.

After 2012, Republican President will occupy the White House for seeral years; Both Houses of Congress will be the Republican majority and runs this country in a right direction both economically and employment will go down to 3.5%. Our Armed Forces will become strong again and our country leadership to the world will be restored. Bowing to the foreign Kings and Queens will not be tolerated as the current President did. Republican Presdient will no longer give bailouts to big corporarions and businesses and socialism will be entirely eliminated and rejected by the people of this country.

There are so many intellectually challenged, no brain types posting here! Keep in mind that the President is increasingly guaranteed re-election and the Dems to re-take the House next year given the appallingly poor candidates running for the approval of only the teapot extremists of the Republican far Right. Thet have ALL shown they lack morals, ethics, ideas, are slaves to crazy and unsupportable (or even explainable) ideology not unlike religious cults while having an abundance of disdain for the 99% of us in total subservience to their big corporate lobbyists and their Filthy Wealthy paymasters. The Republican party, its' insipid and plain wierd candidates, and its' total dedication to desytroying the economy, our retirements, medical care, job security and hope with their slash and burn tactics, total obstructionism, and demands for 100% capitulation to their demands is a gift that truly keeps on giving to all Democratic candidates!

Ben Nelson was a Democrat with GOP shell. I am so glad this traitor is leaving congress. I hope a real democrat picks up that Nebraska seat.

He'll not be missed, but his seat is safely going to another Dem, and with a Dem in the White House again, we'll finally be able to ride these Retardicans into the ground once and for all. Guns and Jesus is NOT a platform. It's target practice.

Have a nice day!!!! I knew the Cornhusker kcikpack would be the end of the road for Ben. Too bad as I am sure he is a nice guy but one less person supporting the Mr Senility Harry Reid the better. He can be just as divisive in the minority only we won't care – time to take him back to yapping dog status like insider trading princess Pelosi.

The Supreme Court Corporate Personhood made it so that Republicans can do the biding of their corporate pay masters and get enough undisclosed and unlimited funds to destroy any candidate...the Reichwing Corrupt Activist Judges need to be impeached for this criminal decision.
