Romney's Iowa New Year's Eve
Sioux City, Iowa (CNN) - Late Saturday afternoon, GOP candidate Mitt Romney was still debating how to spend his New Year's Eve.
The presidential hopeful, who will be in Des Moines with his wife, Ann, said he had checked a local website to survey their options.
"There's a celebration of the music of The Doors at a place called the - is it the Brickyard I think?" Romney said. "So we'll see if we go there or just hang out in the lobby of the hotel."
Asked by a reporter if he was a fan of 1960s classic rock band The Doors, Romney confirmed: "I enjoy their music."
Romney also revealed he had made resolutions for the new year.
"To be more thankful and appreciative of people who I owe appreciation to," he said.

Lord this man is such a phony. He's sportin' his denim folks – see, he's just like us!! Well, with one difference, I'd bet the majority of Americans actually have a pulse, Romney's an automatron, programmed to spew whatever he thinks people want to hear – with an engineered spine because he certainly doesn't have a natural one. No principles, no convictions. Perhaps he and his family could hold a scavenger hunt and search for a copy of Obama's birth certificate and a copy of his own tax returns.
It's educational, looking at the eyes of people making contact with political figures. It's like they've been hypnotized, and about to become something other than themselves just through making contact with another human. And all the time the person they've shaken hands with just wants to become their superior, or ruler. WAKE-UP..
