Romney emerges unscathed in contentious GOP debate

Manchester, New Hampshire (CNN) - It didn't take long for fireworks to erupt at Saturday night's Republican presidential debate.

But while most of six candidates on the stage at Saint Anselm College traded barbs, Mitt Romney didn't field much incoming fire from his rivals, and didn't apparently do any damage to his front-runner status in the race for the GOP nomination.

    King Obama 2012

Because Ron Paul gives power to the states and their elected officials, and that doesn't make any sense.

MITTens was not attacked enough and I truly believe it was toned down because the MEDIA hyped it up and forced the viewers to believe that there was going to be a FIST FIGHT!!! ginGRINCH could NOT come out fighting for that reason; nor any of the other candidates. To me, this was the most BORING debate thus far...........NOTHING NEW!!!

Mitt Romney got a free pass on the debate tonight, he was not challenged by the other candidates and the questions asked of the candidates were weak, feeble and useless for the most part. We already know Republicans blame Obama for everything that has happened to the economy and in the middle east for the past twenty years but you would think there would have been an actual debate. ABC should be ashamed at how bad this was. Mitt won because everyone let him win and he was barely challenged. Santorum was off his rocker pretending there is no such thing as middle class, we are all the same according to him so maybe he is from Mars afterall.

Huntsman is the only canidate on the stage tonight that has class and appeal. I can't believe the Repubs would hold their nose and nominate Romney.
