Obama budget pick faces Capitol Hill challenge

Washington (CNNMoney) - With budget chief Jack Lew stepping up to be President Obama's new chief of staff, Washington is abuzz over who - if anyone - will be tapped as the president's new budget director.

The White House's director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has been playing an increasingly high profile role when it comes to sparring with Congress, thanks to ongoing debates over budget deficits and keeping the federal government funded.

    oh jack lew...check this guy out...filled his pockets as a result of the mortgage melt down...the tax payer got stiffed...he got wealthy. Now, why would anyone appreciate this appointment?

    CNN, you should tell us something that hasn't BEEN A PROBLEM WITH CONGRESS!! They probably gripe just if the president sneezes. As long as the House and McConnell have 1 objective, and we all know what it is, it's STALEMATE.
    If the approval rating of this do nothing congress gets much lower there won't be any sense in doing polling!! If they would stop adding totally unrelated items to every bill knowing the pres. won't favor it, that might help!
