But politically, the timing couldn’t have been better.

If I needed another reason to vote to give Obama 4 more years, here it is. The republicans offer nothing.

Generally speaking, the current U.S. corporate tax rate stands at 35% - the highest in the industrialized world. But companies don't have to pay that rate on profits made outside of the United States - so many decide to shelter profits elsewhere.

HEY Odummie!! Read the statement above. THAT is the problem you should be working on fool. Not some stupid photo op for your re-lection campaign. Obama just does NOT like to do the real work that needs to get done to get this country moving again. All he knows is photo op after photo op, smoke and mirrors, nothing of SUBSTANCE.

"Obama to business: Bring jobs home"

Businesses to Obama/Amurika: Not until the Amurikan labor force is reduced to third-world rights-less unorganized labor force status and we can pay them the same thing we pay rural Chinese/Indonesian/uotsourced foreign labor sources.

Here come the unAmerican corporate raiders who won't like your message – but those of us who REALLY want our country to succeed love what you're TRYING to accomplish.

I don't think the business community trusts our President and I don't think the President like big business. Photo op and CNN eats it up.

Anyone who believes he will actually try to implement this must have voted for him the first time. This is just another campaign promise. I am willing to bet that he says that he just can't get it done yet and needs another term to finalize the plan...oh and give him some money too. Suckers.

When he took office we were losing 700,000 jobs a month. Now we are gaining 200.000 jobs a month. There is only one word for that: improvment. Are we there yet? No. The GOPers remind me of the drunk driver who after running his car into a ditch and flipping it over yells at the towtruck driver that they wrecked his car and swears that he is sober enough to take th wheel again. No way, no how, not this time. Shame on us if we can muster the support to keep these idiots away from the White House.

Have those trickle-down policies EVER worked...No!!! The country ALWAYS turns into a hellhole after they are in power.

Oh ...you're scaring them now Mr. President. They don't want you out there (especially now) because the MORE you're out there the LESS their chances are. For further proof – just see Truth's... response above. He's out of control with FEAR.

The republicans will block it rather than give Obama any credit. Destroy the middle class, kill the US economy, elect a republican president, maximize corporate profits(especially insurance companies)(they can cancel all policies on the old or sick)( much more effecitive than imaginary "death panels".

GI Joe [ I think it was ] posted something earlier that was both highly troubling and thought provoking. What if. What if many of these anonymous donors of unlimited cash to superPACs are actually people who are betting on the American economy to fail and completely collapse.

There were a number of folks who made out like bandits when the recession hit and market dropped 777 points in a single day. Those same people could also stand to lose just as much as they could gain if the American economy does pick up to the point where we are paying off our debts. They would also be the most likely parties to oppose what Pres. Obama is proposing.

For thirty years, the republican base of corporate billionaires have shipped jobs out of our country, and, evidently, there is not one elected republican with the brains to have figured that out. It is time for the worthless ' I'm only in it for the free lunch republicans who suckle at the teat of the wealthy, to see how a real president works.

Truth and Nothing blah blah blah, talk to your hero, and ask him what he will do to stop it: oh, that's right, outsourcing, firing and pocketing the proceeds is what he is good at, and precious little else. Speaking of photo opps, when will he actually manage to go a few days without saying something about how corporations are people, he likes firing people, etc: don't you think that was a freudian slip, or do you really think the former 1-term governor who ranked 49th in the nation in job creation ( beating Louisiana after Katrina) really knows anything other than lining his own pockets?

OK, so these guys are OBVIOUSLY part of the 1% of the evil rich robber barrons pillaging this great country just because they want to see everything and everybody destroyed according to Obama and the Democrats and all of his supporters on this board. Is Obama now cavorting with the enemy that is the 1%??!! Or has Obama finally gotten a clue that working hand in hand with businesses is far moreproductive than attacking, demonizing, ridiculing, regulating, taxing and taking them over?

For a Harvard grad that supposedly walks on water, he is rather slow on the uptake it you ask me.

I do not recall any time when 'truth . . .' was asked for an opinion, but that never stopped him, or her, from spewing foreign owned media, Fox, talking points. Just like Hanoi Hannity, right wingnuts blame Obama for every mistake that Bush and the republicans made.
