Palin seeks increased Romney transparency
(CNN) - Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor who mused with a presidential bid of her own this cycle, suggested Wednesday that Mitt Romney should release records from his time at Bain Capital, as well as his personal tax returns.
Not doing so, she said, could lead to devastating consequences that would injure his candidacy in the weeks before November's general election.

"Don't be surprised that that's all coming out today, because it would come out as an October surprise had these GOP candidates not brought those out today," Palin said on the Fox News program "Hannity."
She continued, "Barack Obama and his machine and the billion dollars that he's got behind him will bring all of this stuff out anyway."
Candidates need to be prepared, Palin said.
"It's rough and tumble, not beanbag as Romney and others have called it. You've got to be prepared for this."
In the interview, Palin characterized Texas Gov. Rick Perry's attacks on Romney's tenure at Bain as questions about his job creation claims.
"This isn't about a politician making huge profits in the private sector," she said. I "think what Governor Perry is getting at is that Governor Romney claimed to have created 100,000 jobs at Bain and you know, people are wanting to know, is there proof of that claim?"
Republicans, she said, should vet candidates "within our own party."
But Palin's comments do not mean she is closer to choosing a candidate to support.
"I'm still with the majority," Palin said. "Searching."

I think Sarah has learned something. I start loving her but still prefer she will never run for the POTUS. I don’t think she was born to be the POTUS or her GOD wants her to be one.

I'm a Republican and it pains me to ask this question. Hasn't this woman done enough damage to her own party? She and Newt and Perry shows their true color, finally. They are going against all that the Republican party believes in. Their uncompromising right-wing ideals has caused us the Presidency in 2008 and now they want to do the same this year. This sort of thing turned off the independents in 2008 that gave us Obama and it will do the same if Newt, Perry, or Santorum is the GOP nominee. This is tragic for the GOP. I no longer have any respect for her or the other candidates for attacking Romney. Somehow, I have found respect for Dr. Ron Paul. I don't support Dr. Paul and think some of his policies are simply crazy, but at least the man has dignity and won't goes against his core believes.
Palin never planned to run for president – her own daughter said so in an interview on Fox. The plan was always to sucker her "supporters" for as much money as possible, drop out when all the Repub debates started (because there was no way she could fake her way through all of them), then reappear once the primaries started to trot herself out as a "kingmaker."
Remind me again how this kind of hypocritical, money-grubbing, media-ho'ing somehow demonstrates Republicans are the party of good old, traditional, Founding-Fathers "values"?

At this point it's only a matter of when, how and where it will be announced. Only she knows the answers and it's driving the Republican establishment batty. They know that establishMitt is FINISHED when she jumps in. Think about it: Romney has still been unable to garner more than 30% of the vote (save for NH, a liberal state). Meanwhile, Paul, Gingrich and Santorum together CREAMS Romney's milquetoast numbers. Nobody is rallying to his side – they are searching for SOMEONE ELSE. The Romney opposition needs a strong, charismatic person to rally around, and that's Palin. She will take the votes of the other three, as well as a small chunk of Romney's, and it's game over. WHEN?....HOW?.....WHERE?..... Sarah knows. I would not want to play poker with this woman.

She's right-he does need to release his tax returns. He said he would after winning the election or getting the nomination, I'm not sure which, but either of those times aren't acceptable. If this affects your vote, it will be too late to make a decision.
