Palin seeks increased Romney transparency

(CNN) - Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor who mused with a presidential bid of her own this cycle, suggested Wednesday that Mitt Romney should release records from his time at Bain Capital, as well as his personal tax returns.

Not doing so, she said, could lead to devastating consequences that would injure his candidacy in the weeks before November's general election.

"Don't be surprised that that's all coming out today, because it would come out as an October surprise had these GOP candidates not brought those out today," Palin said on the Fox News program "Hannity."

She continued, "Barack Obama and his machine and the billion dollars that he's got behind him will bring all of this stuff out anyway."

Candidates need to be prepared, Palin said.

"It's rough and tumble, not beanbag as Romney and others have called it. You've got to be prepared for this."

In the interview, Palin characterized Texas Gov. Rick Perry's attacks on Romney's tenure at Bain as questions about his job creation claims.

"This isn't about a politician making huge profits in the private sector," she said. I "think what Governor Perry is getting at is that Governor Romney claimed to have created 100,000 jobs at Bain and you know, people are wanting to know, is there proof of that claim?"

Republicans, she said, should vet candidates "within our own party."

But Palin's comments do not mean she is closer to choosing a candidate to support.

"I'm still with the majority," Palin said. "Searching."

Coming from the Queen of Lies and Obfuscation, this is pretty funny. She wouldn't know truth, honesty or transparency if they bit her on the backside. Palin's checkered past epitomizes dirty dealings and underhanded vengeance, done with an arrogance that is only exceeded by the underlying stupidity of her kind. Yeah, Barbie, we really think you have a leg to stand on. Moreover, nobody cares what YOU think you're a has-been who seems pathetically desperate to obtain some relevance when it's all over, hon.

Palin is behind Newt Gingrich, so naturally she asks for his rival's information and not Newt's.

Liska asked – Why is it that every time there is a quote by this person, I have to read it and re-read it just to understand what she is trying to say.
IMHO, here inability to communicate and her very limited vocabulary are do to her lack of reading on a regular basis. She is just not intellectually curious and has stopped learning.

Sadly this is also what makes her so appealing to many people. They like the idea that this level of intelligence is acceptable in a decision making role.

Even more than tax papers, I want to see RoMney shake hands with the poor people in South Carolina. I really mean that.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day – BUT this was the first time Palin has ever been right about anything! I suspect many of Palin’s followers and the Poor Dumb ‘Baggers are sick of the government crackdown by republicans – on working people, on Medicare, on Social Security and our unions that cerated the middle class in America. Maybe finally republicans will open their eyes to the fact they are being manipulated!

Republicans should vet their candidates more? Like they did so well for their VP slot back in 2008, right? "Oh, look, Caribou Barbie is actually Crazylou Barbie."

Sarah needs to go back to making up stories like that Paul Revere ride to warn the British.

Romney should release his records when Obama releases all of HIS records. 5 years and still no college papers or transcripts, and where are all of Obama previous employment records? We already know about his sham transaction with Tony Rezko that netted him thousands.

I love how Mitt talks to the crowd stating "I know the middles class is hurting". How would he know? He's so wealthy his idea of struggling is to have to drive his own car. He flip flops worse than Kerry did. He cannot be truster.

Look who's talking...:))) Do you guys remember how she blasted Romney for not stating his position during the debt ceiling fiasco??? She still has a thing with Romney. You know when a candidate is asked to reveal his secret deals and taxes operations, it really gets to the voter. Mama Grizzly has a real test for Romney. Do you guys remember this same question of releasing tax documents to the public painted Hillary as a corrupt politicians when she refused at first and delayed releasing the documents???

ROMNEY RELEASE YOUR tax documents and Let's what YOUR HIDING.

Yes, that's because Palin was so transparent in her cover-ups. She's so dishonest and America needs to shut her out of everything. She nothing more than someone that had way more than her fifteen minutes of fame, and won't let go. It's the money, and money alone that drives this entire family. Enough of this non-relevant family.

Sarah dear, it is you that should be transparent. As in the original definition, not the new made up one. It means, unseen! Also unheard would be a good addition. Andy Warhol wants his 15 minutes back..

Sarah – release YOUR tax returns! Even though you're beyond ridiculous in the world of politics it would be useful to see that even an idiot can become part of the 1% .

I am not a fan of Sarah Palin, but everything she said is correct. Some people hate her so much they don't even try to comprehend what she is saying. You know what I find amazing....we have no idea what kind of student Obama was. Don't even know what kind of grades he got.

Sarah, who got you to say this? your DF husband who has amazingly enough come out with an endorsement of one of the lunatics? No one cares about you or your trailer trash family.

There is only one good choice to lead us for the next four years:

    Obama/Biden 2012

Sarah Palin, saying that candidates should be properly vetted? Sarah Palin, wanting the truth behind statistics mentioned in a campaign? Good Lord, it must be opposite day.

I've been saying the same thing. Romney needs to be transparent now, before the primaries get so far along that he result becomes academic with him winning it. The People will never elect someone who is unwilling to reveal their sources of income. Gov. Romney would be a tragicaly flawed candidate if he were nominated and still had not revealed his tax returns. The dark clouds of dishonesty and deception will hang over him, destroying any chance of being elected.

But, hey. What do I know? I'm agreeing with Sarah Palin.

Sara, even though I am a Democrat, I have somewhat supported your struggle in the past. However, this time around I really think you need to shut your trap. (Don't even let Todd use it!)

You are now playing into the hands of the traitorous president and his equally traitorous Democratic allies.

Also, this president is definitely not appointing you to any position of authority, therefore, give it up and support the only presidential candidate that REALLY has a chance to kick O's butt in the 2012 election.

By the way Sara, I am a life-long Democrat.
