Palin seeks increased Romney transparency

(CNN) - Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor who mused with a presidential bid of her own this cycle, suggested Wednesday that Mitt Romney should release records from his time at Bain Capital, as well as his personal tax returns.

Not doing so, she said, could lead to devastating consequences that would injure his candidacy in the weeks before November's general election.

"Don't be surprised that that's all coming out today, because it would come out as an October surprise had these GOP candidates not brought those out today," Palin said on the Fox News program "Hannity."

She continued, "Barack Obama and his machine and the billion dollars that he's got behind him will bring all of this stuff out anyway."

Candidates need to be prepared, Palin said.

"It's rough and tumble, not beanbag as Romney and others have called it. You've got to be prepared for this."

In the interview, Palin characterized Texas Gov. Rick Perry's attacks on Romney's tenure at Bain as questions about his job creation claims.

"This isn't about a politician making huge profits in the private sector," she said. I "think what Governor Perry is getting at is that Governor Romney claimed to have created 100,000 jobs at Bain and you know, people are wanting to know, is there proof of that claim?"

Republicans, she said, should vet candidates "within our own party."

But Palin's comments do not mean she is closer to choosing a candidate to support.

"I'm still with the majority," Palin said. "Searching."

Where has Palin been? She must be running short on $$ and needs to sell another book. Let me guess, "My run for president as an independent". Buy this book and find out the details. Coming soon to a local conservative book store, church, and of course, Fox news.

Almost anyone would do a better job in the position of President than Obama, probably even diridi. 4 more years of Obama's policies and we'll be Greece the 2nd. Where some are actually giving away their children because they cannot afford to take care of them. Per the global post . com, and the big wobble, among others. Come on people, put down the Obama drink and wake up, look around, see where the same/similar policies have taken western europe. That is our future if Obama is left in office.

Just come out and say it Sarah. You and the teabagging crowd don't like Romney because he is a Mormon! Admit it. If he were a Southern Baptist he would be cruising to a huge victory.

Headline say's "Palin's suprise jabs". What's suprising? Jabs is all she's got. It's all she's ever had. This time might have some validity, but she never let's "the truth" get in her way.

  19. Mitt you got some explaining to do? Realease your taxes!

Romney claims he created a 100,000 jobs if you just lend money to a business that's not creating jobs. You just made a good investment. Romney has bulit a investment firm, not jobs directly.

It kills me how many lemmings just can't seem to get a handle on the wit and wisdom of Sarah Palin. If you read her letters, her op-eds, her blogs you will find she has a sensibility sadly lacking in Washington today. I will say right now,
if she were president she will have turned this country back around to it's original heading in the next 4 years. Economically sound, resource savvy, foreign policy wise and having a record of working with both sides, she is better than any candidate from BOTH sides..

Sarah will endorse one of the candidates as soon as she can find somebody who wants her endorsement. So far, there are no takers, but you never know.

i think perry is correct about romney, it is not just about proof of how many jobs romney claims he created at bains. it is about the malicious destruction of companies just to make money of them, whether they survive bains/romney forced loans to pay them fees. romney destroyed not just the companies – he destroyed jobs, families, marriages, homes and peoples happiness.. i guess palin is saying that this is the republican idea of capitalism –

The Tea Party got elected in 2010. How is that working out for you. The tea Party is just the American Taliban, they are not true Republicans. The real Republican Party should dis-associate themselves with the Tea Party. This Year, the Republicans do not have a chance to occupy the Presidency do to all of the CLOWNS who are running and there visions for America. We Americans like our Social Security, which we paid for, we like Unions, which allowed us common folks to retire, Americans like Medicare, which we Seniors pay for Americans like contraception, Americans like Freedom of legal abortion if that is what one wants to do. Women like there rights. These are just a few reasons that a Republican WILL NOT BE IN THE WHITEHOUSE IN 2013. sHOVE IT REPUBLICANS, WE DO NOT WANT YOU.
