(CNN) - A federal judge on Friday ruled against four GOP presidential candidates seeking a spot on Virginia's March 6 primary ballot, saying they waited too long to file their claims.
Left off the ballot are Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former U.S Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman.

Good!! The requirements are the requirements. No changing them in the middle of the election. I'm just glad the law didn't ask for a photo ID from the candidates or the Justice Dept. might have intervened!! hahaha
How many electoral votes is Virginia alloted in the primaries & General Election? Is Virginia hoping to single-handedly dictate who gets the (R) nod? A lot of Hillary supporters stayed home out of anger in 2008. Do the rethugliban think their voters won't do the same?
I do not understand all this fiasco. Virginia is not going to vote tomorrow or a day after. Why not allow the all contenders be in ballots and undergo the whole process. Bureaucracy sometimes is good for nothing!
That is a real shame. It doesn't appear that the law was followed. That is just wrong. I hope they all Appeal!
The best way to get revenge from the stupidity of the state of VA and it's GOP party is to now vote for Ron Paul. If Ron Paul wins VA it would give him more delegates and more power in the convention. So I say to get back at them vote Ron Paul that my friend would send a huge message to the state and the GOP. I am and Ron Paul is not my guy but under protest he will be.
They shouldn't have all these rules. If you're running for President, then you should be on the ballot... period! What a farce!

Don't you worry now sweet pea... Republicans will be coming out EN MASSE to replace Obama. They are HIGHLY motivated to remove the incompetent community organizer and replace him with a highly competent person like Mitt Romey. Thanks for all of your concern though! You're so nice to worry that way...

I agree. They should not be changing the rules in the middle of the game. So why is it they are not planning on checking voter IDs in the Republican primaries in the states that have these new voter ID laws?
Oh NO – Cantor's Country - what will they do, what will they do?
That is GOP wish only Mitt Romney name in ballot in 50 states
I don't know what harm it would be to allow them on the ballots, there is plenty of time before the vote. But I see the state's point. Rules are rules and if they wanted to be on the ballot, then they should have applied on time.
These guys can't even get their act together for THEIR OWN campaign?
WTH?!
Too bad "the fix" is already in for Romney to be the nominee. This would be hilarious otherwise.
This will make the most interesting vote yet - as what will happen when it is Willard Mitt against Ron Paul. No more splitting up the vote.
Also - Virginia is an open primary state which means that any qualified voter can vote in either party's primary election. Virginia does not have party registration in its voter registration process. In other words, citizens do not designate a political party affiliation when registering to vote in Virginia.
So....what if Ron Paul actually wins...what and how would the media spin that upset?
...by the way Virginia primary is March 6 - too bad it is part of the super Tuesday, if it were a few days earlier the entire floor under Willard Mitt might fall out. Even so, I smell a very interesting event unfolding...
Virginia Primary - Romney vs. Paul - if the latter wins, watch out GOP convention...and third Party candidacy implications!

Because it is Democrats that almost always perpetrate election fraud! Thank yo ufor allowing me to point that out Rudy! You make this far too easy....
This will upset a lot of Perry and Santorum supporters. Huntsman doesn't have enough to speak about and they will make sure he doesn't win the GE. In all, I think it is a good thing for democrats.
Truth and Nothing but.!............ "ITS THE DEMOCRATS THAT ALWAYS PERPETRATE ELECTION FRAUD????????""""" JUST WHICH POLITI CAL DREAMWORLD HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING IN??? WOULD YOU CARE TO SUBSTANTIATE THAT STATEMENT WITH SOME FACTS???? OH DON'T HAVE ANY? WELL HOW COULD YOU LITTLE REPBUB?....IT'S EASIER TO LIE!!!
