As PT Barnum once said, "There's a sucker born every minute"... It sounds like like Obama had about a week's worth at the event!!

It is truly amazing that there are people that would actually want 4 more years of this disaster. I guess they are lokking forward to the collapse of the USA and riots in the streets.

GOod thing it's a three day weekend. With this kind of crazy performance from Obama's campaign, the GOPers are really gonna need to drown their frustrations and sleep one off.

You keep drinking the kool aid and still can't see it's all about him not you the tax payers.

the people who do like him doesn't pay taxes anyway for the most part they don't want to see the government giveaways stop.

It's time to stop the giveaways and start earning your keep. That includes all the elected officials too.

What happened to the day when you earned your money and the so called rich didn't have to support all the people that didn't want to work.

Look at Europe and you can see the more people you have on government paid programs the more likely you will have people stop working and start wanting something for doing nothing but complaining about what they don't have and expect to have what they didn't earn.

Socialism doesn't work the next step is starting to have what we are going to having a government that dictates to everyone what they will have and that's all there is to it.

Looking forward to becoming the next third world country because at the rate we are going now it won't be long.

HAHAHAHAHA...that Opinion piece by Antony Davies is hilarious. Boo hoo "Stop Vilifying Venture Capitalists" blah blah I'm so smart and from the Mercatus Center. Mercatus Center you say? What an outrageous JOKE.

"The Mercatus Center was founded by Rich Fink, who has worked closely with the KOCH family foundations and POLITICAL activities. As of August 2010 HE HEADED KOCH INDUSTRIES' LOBBYING OPERATION in Washington DC[2] and is former president of the Koch Family Foundations, which funds a network of market-oriented think tanks and advocacy groups. Originally it was called the Center for Market Processes and established at the Rutgers University. After the providing of more than THIRTY MILLION DOLLARS TO THE GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY FROM THE KOCH FAMILY, the center moved to George Mason in the mid-1980s before assuming its current name in 1999. The Mercatus Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit and does not receive support from George Mason University or any federal, state or local government, but rather is entirely funded through donations, including some from companies like KOCH INDUSTRIES and EXXONMOBIL, individual donors and foundations."

Thank you Wikipedia. And we're supposed to believe this Davies guy is intellectually honest, objective and unbiased? Yeah...and I poop rainbows.

Another thought why would anybody spend the millions of dollars to have a job that only pays $40,000 a year oh I forgot they just want a free ride from the tax payers.

"And we're supposed to believe this Davies guy is intellectually honest, objective and unbiased? "

Seriously. He paints a picture of venture capitalism that doesn't even remotely resemble Bain's modus operandi while Mittens was there, has glaring mistakes such as claiming that people choose to work for people like Bain (no, they get laid off and offered their old job back at reduced pay and benefits...ask Ampad employees), and throws in the conservative's Solyndra talking point to claim that the US Gov't shouldn't be involved in venture capitalism or anything like it....AFTER pointing at all the venture capitalism that created jobs during the dot com boom. Guess whose "venture capitalism" invented the intertubes that created the opportunity for all that venture caitalism to create a dot com bubble in the first place...does DARPA ring any freekin bells for you Davies...the federal gov't? Mercatus Center = think tank...yeah right...it's what you're thinking about that counts, not just that you CLAIM to be able to think lofty thoughts. More like sitting around thinking of ways to rationalize broken economic ideology and market theories.

I have no doubt that the GOP/Teatroll/conservative temper tantrum will escalate to that kind of behavior when Obama's re-elected next year. It's going to be hilarious. I have special popcorn already picked out for it.

Since taking office Obama has attended 526 campaign fundraising events. And since taking office he has gone to church just 5 times. This is the man who so admantly declared n the campaign trail that he was a true CHRISTIAN - he is noting but a money grubbing community organizer who is way over his head – being financed by corrupt union bosses – and destroying this nation

"What happened to the day when you earned your money and the so called rich didn't have to support all the people that didn't want to work."

Get it through your skulls. Either the money comes from the rich "job creators" in the form of middle-class salaries that don't remain stagnant for 4+ decades and increase at a sufficient rate to compete with inflation and costs of living OR we have to take it from them in taxes to support all sorts of programs to fil in the gaps and create a safety net. It's that simple. Either way it's gotta come out of their pockets. Income disparity has GROWN ENORMOUSLY since we started in the 80's implementing the economic policies and ideology the GOP/Teatrolls are still selling. It's not coincidence that the exact opposite of "trickel down" is what has been taking place.

That's what Obama does. Instead of rolling up his sleeves and fulfilling his campaign promises of bipartisanship, reversal of Bush's deficit spending policies, and his pledge to make the economy a major focus, Obama has never really been out of campaign mode. He has attended more fundraisers per year than any other administration in my lifetime. Plus his 90+ rounds of golf, lavish vacations with his family, and apparently an over-the-top Hollywood Halloween party in the White House in 2009, at the worst of the recession, with Johnny Depp and Tim Burton in attendance. That the press kept on the down-low. All the OWS Obama supporters – take a look at the corporations and mega-milllionaires and billionaires who contribute to Obama. He is the poster child for the 1%.

The truth??? From Obama??? You're joking right???

here's the truth: He never stopped campaigning and lead the country. Think back to the countless speeches, TV events, show appearances, bus tours, celebrity events, etc. Obama's only attempt to "lead" was in the TV ratings. He is totally consumed by the celebrity of being President and wants nothing to do with actually doing the work involved with the office. Did he come up with Obamacare? NO, Congress. Did he come up with the "stimulus"? NO, Congress. He has lead on virtually NOTHING in his time in office. Bu the sure does like all the perks and media events. yes, it all about Obama, not getting this country back on track.

Truth and Nothing but the truth,
Your statement lacks any truth because facts that would back up truth you think existent were non-existent. Let's look at it another way, the economy now is beetr than it was in December 2008, after the last President YOU voted for left office. Now, the economy is not completely where all of us want it to be. Never the less, it's further North after 4 years of Obama proceeding 8 years of Bush. Imagine that....a President who partially cleaned up an 8 year mess in 4 years leaving us better off than we were 4 years ago. That in itself.....is a hell of an accomplishment your non-existent facts cannot argue with...........

@Biotechdev – [tirade to lengthy and silly to post here]

Really? President Obama has taken less vacation that his GOP predecessors. He certainly hasn't played more golf than most of them. You really need to get off the Kool-aide, or is it rancid Tea from a Party of fools?

Oh, and that Halloween Party. It was thrown for the children of our soldiers. The Obama's have done more for our fighting heros and veterans than any POTUS/FLOTUS in decades – and that includes all the GOP warmongerers!!!
