Colbert: 'I've just started exploring' primary bid

(CNN) - Stephen Colbert says he won't be stopped by officials saying it's too late for him to run in South Carolina's presidential primary.

"They said you can't go to the moon. They said you can't put cheese inside a pizza crust, but NASA did it. They had to, because the cheese kept floating off in space," Colbert told ABC's "This Week" Sunday.

What a disgusting joke Citizens United has become. Another example of big business owning the supreme court.

Why do these comedians do not differentiate between time for jokes and time to deal with serious matters? Picking the right candidate is a very, very serious issue and not even a single joke is needed there!

Not a good time for silliness. We have a lot of people hurting right now who are depending on our govt. to add jobs and help our economy recover.

Since this is the only site left for a comment, I have to say this re: the article on the Marines and Perrys' response. My Daddy was in WWII and if I thought he would have ever done anything so disrespectful to another human being-no matter who they were-I would simply die! Such a dishonor to our country and their fellow servicemen.

I am kind of glad all of this PAC Satire is getting out in the open and these "PAC RAT$" are being exposed as to who they really are!! Thank you Supreme Court – you created a situation that you thought would benefit some but in the end, it will "destroy" them!! Let the PEOPLE decide who should win – not a bunch of $PAC RAT$

    Obama 2012!!!

If Colbert can name the capital of "Ubeky-wecky-stan" - then he should be allowed to run!!!

The universal need for balance requires the humor of Stu-bert. The Republican contenders are sadly not that funny.

You're missing the point. This is all political theater by Rove and his elitist neocon buddies. There are no picks to be made, because the nominee has already been picked for you. Wake up.
