Obama council repeats job-creating ideas

Washington (CNNMoney) - President Obama's jobs council on Tuesday released its latest round of recommendations detailing how the United States can be more competitive.

This time, the recommendations aren't all that new and appear unlikely to get much traction. Versions of all most of the council's recommendations have also been offered before by the Obama administration in an effort to spur job growth.

What's happening in Michigan (loss of democracy and privilege) is coming to YOUR STATE IF we don't vote ALL republicans out of office this year. Let's clean house!

Darrell that maybe true of 22 months of job growth, but where is Pelosi with her attacks they it is not enough quick enough. Job growth after 911 was much higher than the last 22 months, and it was not enough for her why is this slower growth enough for her now
You are comparing apples and oranges. You have to be out of touch with reality and totally consumed by the fairy tale that has been spun by the conservatives in this country to seriously believe that a near complete economic collapse from nearly a decade of bad policy could be turned around in less than a year, or even less than a decade.

We lost 8 million manufacturing jobs between 2001 and 2009, which has always been the foundation of the middle class. We lost 8 million jobs across all sectors of the job market in 2007, 2008, and 2009 alone. The stock market fell 50% from over 14,000 to under 7000. We were losing 700,000 jobs per month. The Republicans would have you believe that all of that could be fixed in less than a year. I, for one, do not believe them. No one should.

Cutting funding for health care, breaking unions, fighting DADT, tax breaks for millionaires, fighting to keep secret super pacs funded and secret, is all the GOP has introduced, none of which has created one single job. The tea party caucus is already the most wealthy of the caucsus. I guess it's not enough.
