Columbia, South Carolina (CNN) - Republican presidential candidate Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, told supporters on Saturday that he has embarked on a strategy to amass as many delegates to the Republican National Convention as possible because "that's the name of the game."
His comments signaled that even though he finished fourth in a four-man field in the South Carolina primary, he has no intention of giving up.

Ron Paul is paving a path for his even more radical and fringe son, Rand. I am not sure his supporters really understand his full platform of ideas. Go for it, Dr. Liberty....Keep the debate going....
sounds like he's the smartest one of them all so far – – it's all about how many delegates you capture – – in addition to the 270 at the end – ( in June ) or after June's primaries)
don't give up Ron Paul we are praying for you. You will be our president and the best one yet keep up the good fight the media is defintley swaying votes. CNN needs to stop as well every story seems to be about Ginrich when no one wants him as president or Romney who the hell wants romeny as president ill leave the U.S if romney becomes president.
We know Ron Paul is likely going to all the way to the convention, but if Santorum drops out his supporters will go to Gingrich and if for some reason Ron Paul dropped out some supporters would go to Newt as well and this is bad news for Mitts. Romney gambled by going after Obama too early and forgetting to battle his fellow Republican candidates for the nomination and is losing. The Whitehouse just ordered another truckload of popcorn and must be enjoying the heck ou of this landslide win for Newt.
Why do people not get bored with this guy already? His solution to anything is get rid of it and close the entire federal government. OK, we get it. Now get out of the way.
Go Ron Paul!
He's gonna win.
A year ago they said he had no chance of anything.
Now he is just behind Romney.
Ron Paul 2012 – vote for CHANGES IN THE GOVERNMENT! And Freedom.
