(CNN) - Dr. Miriam Adelson, a major Republican donor and the wife of billionaire Las Vegas casino owner Sheldon Adelson, wrote a $5 million check Monday to the super PAC Winning Our Future, which is supporting Newt Gingrich’s campaign, a source familiar with the contribution confirmed to CNN.
This comes in addition to the previous $5 million Sheldon Adelson gave the group earlier this month. The source could not speak for attribution because of the sensitivities of the donation.

The latest donation means the couple has given $10 million to the pro-Gingrich committee.
A spokesman for Adelson has not returned CNN’s calls seeking comment.
Winning Our Future hit Mitt Romney hard in television advertisements in South Carolina over his role as head of Bain Capital. Sheldon Adelson’s contribution helped the PAC to fund $1.3 million in television ads in the Palmetto State.
The group is hoping to raise $10 million to help run more ads in Florida, an official with knowledge of the PAC’s plans told CNN. As of Monday it had not reached its goal.
CNN reported earlier Monday Winning Our Future is planning on going up with ads in Florida soon.
Nevada journalist Jon Ralston first reported the latest donation.

Romney takes aim at Gingrich in Florida
oh no, those evil Romney superPACs.. oh wait, this is for newt... then I'll give it a pass.
!!!!!NEWT GINGRICH HAS BEEN BOUGHT AND PAYED FOR!! .......!He is owned ....body and soul!!!!!
Will Newt be making public what he promised this donor, whose husband is a casino owner?
So two rich people are funding gingrichs campaign – two people. Unreal and pathetic.
The win from South Carolina won Gingrich some more support. Will it be enough for Gingrich to win Florida? I don't think it will. Unless something strange happens, Romney is going to squeak a win in Florida.
The Repub establishment does not want Gin-Grinch to win; Rove & his super-Pac don't want him to win either. President Obama & his people want him to WIN the Repub. endorsement. AND THIS IS ALL BECAUSE GIN-GRINCH IS ABSOLUTELY UNELECTABLE! I like what somebody tweeted on the ED SCHULTZ show wrote: Gin-Grinch wouldn't be allowed past the TSA at the airport due to his BAGGAGE, and he certainly won't get into the White House with all that baggage! LOL.
We have the best government money can buy!
Thank you Citizens United. SCOTUS has really screwed this one up for the GOP = GREEDY OPPOSITION PARTY. Who knew gingRICH might actually have a shot at the nomination when the ruled. Too funny.
I wonder how many people could have been feed or housed with the money being spent by these super pacs? Probably not that important since they are poor people and who cares about them?
The Republican party has already pointed out that their only goal for the past three years has been to get rid of Obama.Nothing constructive!
A perfect example of someone who expects to buy this election. Man are our campaign finance laws screwed up. There is absolutely no question that the very few totally control our elections now and own our politicians. Really repulsive.
10 million dollars from 1 couple. Here is the purpose of Citizens United writ large: to make the election process unaffordable to all but the super rich.
The best money can buy; absolutely the best. Disgusting.
Just goes to show, a fool and his money are soon seperated.
Whats the old saying? Something about fools and money.
Thank you once again to the old farts from the SCOTU. First super pacs and more money than anyone of the candidates make in a year and now no more GPS tracking of criminals.
What's next. Allow senators to travel because they are so indignant of being stopped by the TSA doing their jobs or women's rights being taken away again?
Never mind, just the thought of something like that scares the heck out of me. We are moving backwards instead of forward.
Gotta wonder what the Adelsons are getting in return for their money.
