Truth Squad: Did Gingrich lobby for Medicare Part D?

Editor's note: Part of the CNN Republican debate fact-checking series

(CNN) -
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney accused former House Speaker Newt Gingrich of having lobbied in favor of Medicare Part D, the federal program that provides drugs for senior citizens, during Monday night's Republican debate in Tampa, Florida.

Romney said other congressmen said they were lobbied by Gingrich at the time.

I don't suppose there is any chance that the CNN Political Ticker Truth Squad will report on the State of the Union. Obozo has never had scrutiny by the liberal media. If he had this incompetent, inept, corrupt, union toady whose only previous job experience was hanging posters on telephone poles for the the SEIU/ACORN/AARP would never have been president.
