Obama: Jesus would back my tax-the-rich policy

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - What Would Jesus ... Deduct?

President Obama offered a new line of reasoning for hiking taxes on the rich on Thursday, saying at the National Prayer Breakfast that his policy proposals are shaped by his religious beliefs.

    how tacky to admonish one group for religious beliefs while invoking the beliefs to back a hairbrained idea. he should have just voted "present" as he did in the senate and then shut his ignorant mouth

    ...Quit trying to make things easier for those richer and higher in status than you, and try to have some self respect. The rich are human beings just like you, and they should contribute their share proportionate to how much they make, just like the rest of us...
    Ed, the people who are in the upper income tax brakets pay much more in taxes than the rest of us. More as a percentage of their wealth and much more in real dollars. They basically already support the country. You are forming your opinions on the rantings of the second richest man in America... not even close to what is really going on with the higher earners. He is the 0.00001% in Occupy Speak.
