Payroll tax holiday running down

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - Despite bipartisan support on Capitol Hill for extending a temporary payroll tax cut for the rest of 2012, lawmakers have yet to close the deal.

The reason? Same ol', same ol'.

    Lets vote and only have it last for another 2 months then fight it out all over again. Wow they either like to fight or vote on the same things over and over again.

    The Republicans will block it until the last minute. When it doesn't have to do with protecting the interests of the extremely wealthy, they're not interested. Why is that? Anyone else ever wonder. What do they have to gain by only protecting the monied interests and kicking the rest of us to the curb? It's astounding, whatever the reasons.
