BLITZER’S BLOG: Expect 4-man race to continue

(CNN) - Looking ahead to Tuesday’s GOP presidential contests in Missouri, Colorado and Minnesota, I can’t help but suspect we might get some surprises when the dust settles late into the evening.

All three are also battleground states in the November election.

Yes, lets be fair. The top 1% pay a 36% income tax rate, (not capital gains tax, they are two different things), and 47% of 300,000,000 people pay no income tax at all. Hmmm. Sounds like around 145,000,000 people need to start ponying up their fair share. That would probably cover the national debt.

if you had love ones come home from Iraq then if any of these guys win except of course for Paul then you might as well kiss them goodbye because they'll be going back over there....or in the case of Romney perhaps to IRAN so we can bomb them.

A question for Once upon a horse and other liberals,,,,,Do you think it is a good idea for Iran to have nuclear weapons? Considering all their rhetoric concerning non muslims, especially the recent stuff? I believe they are crazy enough that should they develop nuclear weapons that they would use them.

Gurgi, when you start by posting misleading numbers and continue posting misleading numbers out of context, you do not start things off in manner that is fair. Few 1%ers pay an EFFECTIVE tax rate (look it up) of 36%, so your use of a meaningless numbers must be to mislead. Similarly, that 47% still pays other taxes. And if you were to lump ALL taxes you would see the effective tax rate for the poor is much greater than 0%, which you misleadingly imply. Remember, if you don't discuss effective tax rates you are comparing apples and oranges.

The only one in the world talking about bombing Iran is Leon Panetta, Obama's Secretary of Defense. But if you are worried about sending troops back to fight again, what do you think makes that most possible? I will give you a hint...pulling them out before the job is done. I hope Obama hasn't made these decisions based on election year politics. That would really be a tragedy for America, wouldn't it? Especially the ones who have already gone over there, given so much and acheived such a great measure of success.
