The Romney kids’ $100 million trust fund

(CNNMoney) - Mitt Romney's five sons - Matt, Tagg, Craig, Ben and Josh - are sitting pretty with a trust fund worth $100 million.

Getting there took smart tax strategies, and investments that produced "great growth," in the words of the Romney campaign.

    From now on conservatives, anytime you hear what Romney has, or what Ronmey said, or what Santorum, Paul, or Gingrich, said or has........switch names and replace it with Obama as a $100million trust fund for Malia and Sasha, then write your comments.................exactly!

  3. The Greedy Old Pigs have declared class war on US!

    More proof that Flipper the Elitist Robot is way out of touch with average Americans. And his GOBP deathcult wants to eliminate the estate tax entirely. Hmmmmm, wonder why?

    @Dominican Mama...
    Once again, you turn this into race. Unbelievable. You rant about hypocricy...why don't you get your facts straight? What is the difference between trust funds and the Obamas going out on a date? Hmmmm....let's about this. The trust funds were earned by the money Romney earned in his career in business. I know...crazy idea of an actually earn money and then share it with his children to make sure they are taken care of. The Obama's date to New York City a couple of years ago? Paid for by the tax payers. Can you see the difference? And you want to talk about hypocricy? On one hand you have someone earning money and sharing it with his children. On the other hand you have an elected official chartering a 747 belonging to the tax payers and jetting off to New York for dinner and a Broadway show. On the tax payers dime...not his. A 3 week Hawaiin vacation? Billed to the tax payers at a $4M clip. And by the way...we are fortunate enough to be able to have a military right now that is a volunteer military. Hate to tell you this, but there is currently NO DRAFT. You make it sound like the Romney kids defected to Canada to avoid military service. Sorry...not buying it. They chose to enter the work force instead of joining the military. And yes...they alll have jobs. Look it up.

    Don't be jealous! Mitt Romney's money worked very hard to earn his money. You have no idea how many hours of toil his money put in everyday for the benefit of this country.

    "The trust funds were earned by the money Romney earned in his career in business."

    You mean the money he "earned" ripping apart sometimes healthy companies? The money he "earned" laying off employees? The money he "earned" pigging out on corporate welfare? The money he "earned" draining pensions and sticking US taxpayers with the bill? That's some pretty dirty money your defending there. Why?

    Massachusetts Conservative:
    The President is obliged to travel in the manner that he does and with the ensuing "entourage" that all Presidents have had and WE the tax payers have paid for, so don't begrudge THIS President his mode of transport. He paid for the date, just like they paid out of their own pocket to re-decorate the WH so that mouths like yours wouldn't flap in the wind. Three weeks in Hawaii? Really? Even if that were so, he is still connected to duties at the WH or perhaps you think he stops being President whenever he's not in physical residence there. How would you suggest that they get to Hawaii? Tele-transport perhaps? Again, everytime THIS President makes a move outside of the WH people like you begrudge him what comes with the job.
    I'm fully aware that there is no draft but I find it admirable that Joe Biden's son is part of our military. Not only did RMOney manage NOT to serve but neither of his FIVE strapping boys. Just an observation.
    In regards to once gain turning this into race, that's a bunch of hooey. Maybe you just don't want to EVER hear that some of the hypocritical behaviour from the Con base IS and always will be race-related.

    Yes, lets be fair. The top 1% pay a 36% income tax rate, (not capital gains tax, they are two different things), and 47% of 300,000,000 people pay no income tax at all. Hmmm. Sounds like around 145,000,000 people need to start ponying up their fair share.
