New York (CNNMoney) - President Obama will propose a budget on Monday that forecasts a $901 billion deficit in 2013, and includes plans to make targeted investments in areas like infrastructure while hiking taxes on the rich.
The White House bills the document as a "blueprint for how we can rebuild an economy where hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded."

Can you believe obama knows anything about hard work or responsibility. You can add leadership and accountability to the list.
This pathetic budget will be useful in helping defeat him in November. Obama is apparently intent on launching America into a debt spiral we have no hope of recovering from. The only budget that has come out of Washington that plans for a full recovery from the debt crisis was passed by the House of Representatives in April. It is Paul Ryan's Path to Prosperity. It's like for Obama the most difficult thing about American debt is how to get the ceiling raised. He needs to consider instead, as the Republicans have how to get the debt going down again. It can be done. But not by Obama.
If the republican candidates win the presidency and implement their huge tax cuts for the wealthy, then start their war with Iran, I think the conservatives will even surpass the $12 trillion of the national debt they gave us.
Mittens will be known as the father of Rommunism.
The question remains "will the Republicans actually work toward improvement of our economy during an election year?". The answer is or course "no". They have actively worked to obstruct all progress – except for the wealthy. When you vote you should vote Republican – if you are a multi-millionaire who actually cares little for the future of America. Otherwise, President Obama is the advocate for you.
He is a liar. Why do we have to beleive him. He is not a lucky president. We might end up like greece
it"s about time obama got off his hands and get them dirty.. as we all see playing fair is not working....
I will cut the deficit in half my first term. BHO
Welcome to King Barak H. Obama.
Borrowing about 1/14 of the annual US GDP for one year of federal government opperation seems like a really bad idea for the American people, and quite unsustainable.
Go Mr. President!! I support you
See what we're paying off now.
In all, Taxpayers for Common Sense estimated, Mr. Santorum helped secure more than $1 billion in earmarks during his Senate career, which stretched from 1995 through 2006. But because federal lawmakers did not have to disclose them, as they must do today, it is nearly impossible to produce a complete list. Mr. Santorum was one of many who took full advantage of ear mark money.
Just add more water to the sinking debt ship. Cut the spending....
900 billion dollars is a big improvement over the Bush's last year, FY2009, that had a 1.5 trillion dollar defecit.
The 901 Billion assumes taxes get raised at the end of the year and all planned cuts actually happen. It's good to see any number less than a trillion for a change but this is only a forecast and there are lots of variables that could change it. I hope it turns out to be a true number, we need to get serious about paying off our debt. Anyone that reads this knows how free you feel when you owe nothing to anyone.
More revenue on the privliged. Once we get the defecit and budget at zero start reducing the tax on the privliged but make sure budget stays around the level mark
Hmmm, a realistic plan that addresses some very important needs and priorities, and a tax hike supported by nearly three quarters of Americans, including half of rank and file GOBP voters. Yet on the extreme right side, we have a bunch of drooling morons still clinging to their failed and unpopular policies such as deregulation and tax cuts for the filthy rich. Yup, time for the rightwing radicals to play the religion card, because they got no real policy ideas that merit even passing consideration.
God bless you, Obama. All my blessings on you herewith. Good luck. You are taking this nation in a right direction. I will campaign for you. Obama2012.
PS: Next term, please make sure you sign on Congress and Senate Term-Limits. I am positive, and confident, you do it.
I think its good & the best thing is taxing the rich like Romney & all rich ignorants Republicans more
