Washington (CNN) - Ann Romney has pinned herself a new role in her husband's presidential campaign.
The wife of presidential candidate Mitt Romney recently began using the social media site Pinterest. The official Mitt Romney Twitter feed drew attention to the site Tuesday by posting, "Ann's way ahead of me on this one – check out her Pinterest page here pinterest.com/annromney/."

Ann Romney has nearly 2000 followers on Pinterest and which will likely grow with the new attention from her husband.
Pinterest is an image sharing social media site where users organize their interest onto virtual boards.
Ann Romney has seven virtual boards on Pinterest. Her posts are focused on her family life, highlighting behind the scenes campaign photos, favorite recipes, her favorite books and patriotic images.
The Romney campaign has made a big push towards using social media as a key campaign tactic.
As social media evolves so do the campaigns, Romney is not the only one to embrace Pinterest. There is a Pinterest account in Newt Gingrich's name and every candidate actively promotes their message via Twitter.
At the start of his 2012 campaign, Mitt Romney launched a social media site for his supporters to create a MyMitt account that links social media sites to his campaign site.
President Barack Obama has also focused heavily on social media. In 2008 Obama offered his own social network at My.BarackObama.com or myBO.
The Obama re-election campaign has promised a continued effort in using social media in the campaign, but while there are several photos of first lady Michelle Obama on Pinterest, she does not have a personal profile.
The first lady did recently join Twitter, where just yesterday she wished President Obama a "Happy President's Day to my personal favorite, @BarackObama."

@ Four and the Door....
I think the LAST thing Mitt Romney and his family need is another house. I will make sure I do my part to keep them from moving into the one in DC.

Why do I think about the movie "Stepford Wives" when I see them together?

"I don't know Larry, but I am sure it says more about you than them."

I forget who I'm talking to... See, Stepford Wives was a movie where all of the wives were plastic-looking and totally controlled by their husbands. It turns out they were robots who were perfectly groomed, gazed at their husbands with obedient and loving eyes. Are you able to follow me so far? These wives would do anything... like having huge families (like a brood sow)... or wearing their hair in a style that locks then in to an era when their husbands were in college... or pretending to laugh at every ridiculous thing their husbands say. I know I've lost you – like teaching a pig to play the piano. I should know better...
Ann Romney seems like a charming and delightful woman. Hopefully, she and her husband are good parents and spouses.
That aside, her husband is not the right guy to be president. His record as governor was bad, his policies and proposals are weak, he can't convince voters that he's sincere about what he says and his healthcare bill makes him virtually unelectable. I wish Mitt and Ann all the best in their own life but he should not and will not be the president.
Oooh is this what her husband allows her to do? Wow! Think of it...Ann can sit around all day in her magic underware and look at Pintrest. That will be a big conversation starter at a White House Dinner with other First Ladies around the world.
Neat how. What has she done for the betterment of anything. With all that stashed moolah in the Caymens, I never heard about anything she's done.
Cook book?!
Why in the heck does America care about this again????
Mitt Romney STILL has no plans for the middle class or poor. He plans to cut seniors' social security and medicare a la the Paul Ryan Plan. And he plans to send women's issues back to the 1800's. He's a pathetic candidate. Quit bringing up his father and his wife. They wouldn't be the ones to fill the oval office.
Is this what women are left with to represent in the presidential primaries? Sarah where are you?! More power to you Mrs. Romney. Nice to hear from you. Sean Parker must be giddy.
MyBO heehee.
Wow, republicans finally discovered the Internet, eh?
Is it just my imagination, or is she doing a, uh, bad kind of salute that we don't do in civilized society?
p.s.- who cares about this story...wow, must be a slow news day. Ridiculous?
Ann would be a beautiful and classy first lady. Go Mitt!

Quite a difference between Michelle's glorious albeit a bit potruding smile, and teeth the color of old money that look as if they hadn't seen a toothbrush, toothpaste, or a good dental hygenist since they grew out.
I checked out her Pinterest account, and it doesn't show anything about who Ann Romney is,it's just more campaigning and some recipes...yawn...
Pinterest is like crack to women. Not surprised she's on there too. My wife won't let it be, once she's watching all those scrolling tiles she can't turn away.
