Washington (CNN) - Ann Romney has pinned herself a new role in her husband's presidential campaign.
The wife of presidential candidate Mitt Romney recently began using the social media site Pinterest. The official Mitt Romney Twitter feed drew attention to the site Tuesday by posting, "Ann's way ahead of me on this one – check out her Pinterest page here pinterest.com/annromney/."

Ann Romney has nearly 2000 followers on Pinterest and which will likely grow with the new attention from her husband.
Pinterest is an image sharing social media site where users organize their interest onto virtual boards.
Ann Romney has seven virtual boards on Pinterest. Her posts are focused on her family life, highlighting behind the scenes campaign photos, favorite recipes, her favorite books and patriotic images.
The Romney campaign has made a big push towards using social media as a key campaign tactic.
As social media evolves so do the campaigns, Romney is not the only one to embrace Pinterest. There is a Pinterest account in Newt Gingrich's name and every candidate actively promotes their message via Twitter.
At the start of his 2012 campaign, Mitt Romney launched a social media site for his supporters to create a MyMitt account that links social media sites to his campaign site.
President Barack Obama has also focused heavily on social media. In 2008 Obama offered his own social network at My.BarackObama.com or myBO.
The Obama re-election campaign has promised a continued effort in using social media in the campaign, but while there are several photos of first lady Michelle Obama on Pinterest, she does not have a personal profile.
The first lady did recently join Twitter, where just yesterday she wished President Obama a "Happy President's Day to my personal favorite, @BarackObama."

Isn't that the "point" trick that Palen used? IMO, could a goofier pic of his wife have been found or what!?
Forget it Ann–he's not fixable and you are getting obnoxious yourself.
Even their social media choices are elitist.
I don't begrudge them their riches but, dang, you'd think she can afford a teeth whitening. Ick.
Mitt Romney's family will be very happy at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. And so many of us will celebrate their arrival.
Why do I think about the movie "Stepford Wives" when I see them together?

I don't know Larry, but I am sure it says more about you than them.
Four and the Door
What do you make of it that the republican elites are talking about a romney replacement?
LOL – Obama has his Blackberry – he has all of that – but the thing IS : Obama has everybody's e-mail that Ever went to his web-site. He will do a Mass E-mail – to 160 million people – and then the party's Over – for the republicans.
She needs to show "AMERICAN WOMEN" that she is not just a puppet .. and is respected as a women in her household... because her husband is now being seen as a women hatter ............ they also need to respect the women who are out there with out a rich husband ......no maids.... or no husband ..... and work and raise a family ... not just the rich and their little issues.... the middle class women is hurting ... no money coming her way no matter how hard she works for her family..... show us they care...right now we are no seeing this from this party or candidate....
Mitt Romney! I remember him! Is he still hanging around?
@Four and The Door
Mitt Romney's family will be very happy at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. And so many of us will celebrate their arrival.
All four of his sons who avoided military service , yes they will bring a new meaning to the word Patriotism to the White House.
Maybe Mitts wife should run , she has more class.
Whats up with you Four and the Door ? You miss the Fantasy Island show or what ?
There's Mitt and whoever, pointing to his presidential aspirations as they disappear in the distance.
Southern Hottie,
I assume you are an Obama supporter and in that case, I wouldn't be making fun of anybody's teeth if I were you. Ann's are quite nice. Nothing like the overbite of Michelle Obama that causes a slight lisp.
1 of the things I appreciate about any politicians wife, is that she's visible & vocal! Anita Perry, for ex., might as well be a mirage, for all the times Texans have seen her in the flesh! Callista Gingrich seems more a prop than an actual participant! That's what I appreciate about Michelle Obama & it seems Ann Romney has taken note! Glad to hear it! My vote is for Obama, but in the event that Romney becomes our next president, I'm relieved to know his wife is visible & has a voice! I want to hear more from her!!
family is off limits I always believed. Butt Mitt really does have the personality of a Table & incredibly, SEVERLY fake & 98 % of the non mormons know this.

Because Obama himself served so gallantly? What's your point?
Pres. Obama has"..a secular agenda that fights against freedom of religion..." Mitt Romney
In other words, President Obama is defending the secular philosophy of the Ist Amendment defining a separation of church and state. In other words, President Obama is conforming to the 1st Amendement declaring that government shall show no preference to a religion.
@ Go Romney
Neat ladies look anything but goofy. No Jackie Kennedy charisma about Williard's wife.
folks, listen, this election is all about "Rich v/s Middle Class America". god bless.
Willard s wife is starting to get the michelle bachmann look/expression in her eyes
And the moral of this story is??
I've seen enough of HorseFace. Take that spineless husband and leave NOW.
