Troy, Michigan (CNN) - As the GOP presidential debates dotting the primary calendar appear to have slowed, Ann Romney offered a suggestion Saturday to combat debate fatigue.
Let her take the stage.

"If we're going to do another debate, he's going to sit in the audience and watch me. And that'll be it," she joked of her husband during remarks to an audience of roughly 1,500 people at an Americans for Prosperity forum in Troy, Michigan.
To be fair, Mrs. Romney's comments were a clear expression of her own debate fatigue. She told the audience she had "decided no more debates" after watching her husband participate in 20 televised forums over the course of the campaign.
That wasn't the extent of Mrs. Romney's proposals, however. As she introduced her husband with a warm collection of anecdotes about growing up in Michigan, the candidate's wife seemed to acknowledge she had charmed the crowd.
"Maybe I should just do all the talking and let him just stand here and watch me," she said of her husband, to laughter.

Oh, poor Mitt. If he can't handle a few debates, then how will he handle the job of POTUS? Another reason not to vote for him. Will this be another Clinton regime – buy one, get one free? Sorry. Didn't like that regime, won't vote for this one.
Mrs Romney would make a better candidate than her husband. At least no one has heard her flip flop.
If Hilary Clinton or Michelle Obama had said something like that, they would have been lambasted for being "uppity".
Oh babe, stand in for me...i'm too tired to run for president... And this is who you want to run America? what a joke
Too funny. I can just see it now, when that call comes at 3AM, president Romney's first words will be, "You want to talk to my wife. Let me get her on the phone."
