Source: Santorum to receive Secret Service protection
(CNN) - Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum will receive Secret Service protection this week, a source familiar with the situation told CNN.
At this time, GOP presidential rival Mitt Romney is the sole candidate granted protection.

A spokesman for the Secret Service declined to comment on the matter when contacted by CNN.
Meanwhile, a source with Newt Gingrich's campaign confirmed the former House speaker also requested protection. The source did not know when the paperwork was submitted but said discussions about putting in the request began last week.
Gingrich's campaign has not yet received a response from the Secret Service, the source said.

So much for the power of faith. You would think that someone with such a close relationship to God would be able to count on Him for protection. Why not pray that God grant a squad of guardian angels instead? Oh yeah, that's right, because prayer doesn't work. If it did, Santorum would not need Secret Service protection. It's kind of like how the pope has a special bullet proof glass covered vehicle. Nothing demonstrates the power of faith like bullet proof glass. Maybe Santorum should place an order for a pope-mobile, since he is such a good Catholic (whatever that means).

Why does he or Romney need Secret Service protection? Romney can buy his own protection. Unless you are the Republican candidate for President, then you should not receive taxpayer paid Secret Service protection. If you are that afraid of what someone may or may not do to you, then shut your mouth with your nonsense or get out of the race.
