(CNN) - While Mitt Romney won the popular vote in Tuesday's Michigan primary, CNN's latest estimate indicates Romney and rival Rick Santorum split the state's delegate count.
Of the 30 delegates at stake, Romney took 15 and Santorum took 15, with zero unallocated as of late Wednesday afternoon.

The numbers will not be final until the state certifies its ballots in the coming days.
A candidate needs 1,144 delegates to secure the Republican nomination. Including Tuesday's results from Michigan and Arizona, CNN estimates that Romney will have 171 delegates from states that have held nominating contests so far.
CNN estimates 52 delegates for Santorum, 38 for former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, and 27 for Texas Congressman Ron Paul.

Willard will NEVER get 1,144 delegates but keep dreaming.
Sweet dreams.
NBC just announced Santorum will get more delegates. Guess we'll need to wait and see.
This turned out to be a big victory for Rick Santorum since he gained a 50-50 split of the Michigan delegates. He actually won in the majority of counties accross Michigan. It was certainly no victory for Romney to split and narrowly losing some of the voting disricts by just a handful of votes. If I were Romney I wouldn't be bragging about it.
Romney is over 700,000 votes to date. I wonder how Santorum is going to claim that victory, but I am sure he dream up someway to say he won.
so they both tied with a real loser!
So much for the big Romney win. Funny how the press did report that last night.
Can somebody calculate how much does a delegate cost for Mitt?
Dem landslide coming in November!!!!
The Koch brothers will play this out slowly... They know they can buy the nomination for Romney – whom they hope to do their bidding like a dancing monkey with magic underwear. But they're businessmen who won't spend any more than required and the competition in the primary is ridiculously weak. They'll gey their Karl Rove "swift boat" slime flowing in the general election – where they will surely lose.
This guy Santorum is as big of a joke as Palin and even McCain knows that.
what a waste of time...a tie is like kissing your sister right? Ooops Santorum might take exception to that remark.
Wow, he had to split the delegates of his HOME STATE? This is the high point too. He has hit his ceiling. Santorum ain't it either. Any chance there is someone, anyone else to rescue us from this disaster?
►Update: Latest CNN count shows Santorum, Romney split Michigan delegates◄
Funny – that's all the RICH counties could do you for you Romney – This is your fate?
All of that money to spent – All of the money you got
Can barely get you out of the 2-Cadilac parking lot!!
But there is word out there that you might just be out of those high-tech donors
Those rich folks have a "limit" and your dependence on their $$$ is no longer
Well, that's what happens when you hang out with the "TOP TIER"
You have to now “beg” from the lower class and HOPE your values they share
I guess MITTens will now start talking about the middle class and how much he wants to “get their money” – I mean, “Help them!!”
Obama 2012 – The Only Trusted Way Forward!!
That's great news. Romney really won nothing. President Obama is leading him by 16 points in Michigan. Santorum is a religious lunatic but let him keep winning. The more Romney is out in the open, the more of a fool he makes of himself. Being the "least of the worst" of the Republicans is no honor worth celebrating. Republicans are going to lose all over the nation. They have betrayed the American People. We will stand with the real leader with real solutions and proven success for the People and that is President Obama and the Democrats. We will re-elect him and keep moving America forward for ALL Americans.
Well, at least Ron Paul is getting a few delegates.
Yup, that's one strong showing in your "home state", Rmoney And you only had to spend more than twice as much as your opponent to get the exact same number of delegates. Do you still think you can be America's "business president"? Perhaps you need to look up the word "efficiency"; because right now your are the leader in wasteful spending, Last time we checked that was something you like to whine about. A lot. And now you're doing it yourself. What a hypocrite and bad example you are, Mittens.
