Palin PAC: 'Game Change' is 'fact change'

(CNN) – Sarah Palin took a hit at the upcoming television film based on her time as the 2008 vice presidential nominee Thursday, releasing a mock trailer portraying her candidacy in a much rosier light than the film's actual preview.

"Game Change," set to air on HBO March 10, stars Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin. A trailer released in January (WATCH) cast Palin as the villain of the 2008 contest, a portrayal advisers to Palin shot down in a conference call with reporters last week.

On Thursday Palin's political action committee SarahPAC released a video (WATCH) mocking the film, editing together complimentary clips from newscasts and interviews to present a positive portrait of Palin's candidacy. Left out is the behind-the-scenes whispering the "Game Change" trailer features heavily.

The mock trailer begins with a play on the film's title. The text "Game Change" transforms to "Fact Change," and a clip of Moore answering the phone with "This is Sarah" intros the words: "No, this is Sarah."

What follows is a two-and-a-half minute montage of television clips and newspaper headlines from 2008 proclaiming Palin an asset to Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign.

Palin is described as a "feisty, strong, tough and straight-talking governor," and someone who has "completely transformed the entire race, probably the entire party."

Former President Bill Clinton, in an interview, is shown calling Palin "Gutsy, spirited, real."

Former McCain advisers, portrayed in the film's trailer as fretful over Palin's intelligence and temperament, are shown in SarahPAC's video praising the former candidate.

Top adviser Steve Schmidt is shown saying "Her focus is extraordinary. She's working 15, 16 hours a day. We're very pleased with the results."

Schmidt, portrayed by Woody Harrelson in the HBO film, has been blamed for many of the anti-Palin stories following McCain's loss.

In the call with reporters last week, several current and former Sarah Palin advisers said Schmidt was responsible for spreading falsehoods about Palin that became the basis for storylines in the book "Game Change" was based upon.

A press release from SarahPAC explains the video as an attempt to set facts straight ahead of the film's release.

"Game Change is just the most recent example in a long history of facts being distorted for profit," the release said.

It adds, "Behind Game Change's slanderous agenda is a trail of money leading straight to the Barack Obama campaign and the Democrat Party."

HBO, like CNN, is owned by Time Warner.

Wow, before the show even airs!! When you expend this much effort to say something isn't, it's almost akin to admitting that it's TRUE!! Like a petulant bully showing the few times they have been good only to cover up the underlying character which is exposed in the normal day-to-day happenings.

Sarah was a terrible mistake by John McCain and his group. Shame on him for unleashing Ms. Palin on the world!

Poor thing. She's just jealous that her own movie was such a flop. Almost no one wanted to see it. It wasn't even good enough to qualify for one of those worst movie of the year awards. Razzies?

I'm pretty sure Reynolds and Kleenex are huge sponsors of Jabberwocky Barbie's PAC in light of the amount of tinfoil hats and tissues they go through. Crybaby moonbats.

It's funny how the video leaves out the quitting, the ridiculous gaffes, her plummet in the polls, the gun sights...

This is what people's donations to her PAC are paying for, folks. If she had just ignored this made for TV movie it would never be in the news.

LOL! That last thing Palin or anyone who supports Palin should be whining about is revising facts. Pretty much all Caribou Barbie does is is lie and distort. As we've seen many times before, she's great at dishing it out, but she sure can't take it. Typical conservative twit...

Palin is like Pandora. Not really a villain, as much as a self serving idiot who unleashed pain on the world. Pandora unleashed Evil, and Palin unleashed the Tea Party, the American Taliban which is a synonym for Evil.

The truth hurts, huh, Ms Quitter?

She can lie all she wants, but we KNOW who she is now.

A liar, an incompetent, and a fraud.

Why does she even have a PAC? Shouldn't it be called "I Matter PAC"?

I take all of these political films with a grain of salt. They all have done their research, but they all invariably take "artistic" license with the scripts. The truth is we'll never really know exactly what happened except for the framework of events.

Pathetic. Since this harpy obviously lives in a paralell reality, perhaps her PAC will release another video proclaiming that although they lost the 2008 election somehow they really won it. Too bad Andrew Breibart has croaked cuz i'm sure he would have been able to come up with video of her being sworn in as VP.

I thought the book was really good so will be watching the movie. Nobody needs to tell America how ill prepared Palin was for any national office, it was obvious. The fact that she gave nonsensical answers to questions made it obvious that she was prepared with some stock answers which she just pulled out whether or not it made any sense. So whatever she says about the film, America went through it. Is it hard to believe that there was a whole lot of shaking of heads and frustrations behind the scenes. If there wasn't and Palin was that intellectually weak, then the whole campain was weak start to finish. John McCain deserved what he got for letting himself be roped into that position. But once again – the GOP standard bearer had no guts, just like the man he is endorsing this time around.

"Thou dost protest too much." It has become glaringly clear that to Caribou Barbie - the truth indeed hurts!

I hate to say it, but folks who give to her PAC are just supporting the Grifter in Chief. Mother Theresa she ain't!

"Yup, now we're International. Put a push pin in China, Sarah..."
*hilarity ensues when she accidentally stabs McCain on the way to the map, then trips and rips the map down*
"You don't know where China is, do you Sarah?"
"No, but I can see Russia from my backyard!"

    Sounds about like the situation.

Palin should be used to facts being distorted for profit....she's made alot of money via the billionaire Koch brothers for doing just that...though distoring may be too mild a term....she mostly just outright lies.

Poor sister sarah. Her whole phony grizzly mama facade is going to be destroyed. Even worse her gravy train of fleecing the rubes may come to a screeching halt. It couldn't happen to a nicer – or more deserving person.
