Palin PAC: 'Game Change' is 'fact change'

(CNN) – Sarah Palin took a hit at the upcoming television film based on her time as the 2008 vice presidential nominee Thursday, releasing a mock trailer portraying her candidacy in a much rosier light than the film's actual preview.

"Game Change," set to air on HBO March 10, stars Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin. A trailer released in January (WATCH) cast Palin as the villain of the 2008 contest, a portrayal advisers to Palin shot down in a conference call with reporters last week.

On Thursday Palin's political action committee SarahPAC released a video (WATCH) mocking the film, editing together complimentary clips from newscasts and interviews to present a positive portrait of Palin's candidacy. Left out is the behind-the-scenes whispering the "Game Change" trailer features heavily.

The mock trailer begins with a play on the film's title. The text "Game Change" transforms to "Fact Change," and a clip of Moore answering the phone with "This is Sarah" intros the words: "No, this is Sarah."

What follows is a two-and-a-half minute montage of television clips and newspaper headlines from 2008 proclaiming Palin an asset to Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign.

Palin is described as a "feisty, strong, tough and straight-talking governor," and someone who has "completely transformed the entire race, probably the entire party."

Former President Bill Clinton, in an interview, is shown calling Palin "Gutsy, spirited, real."

Former McCain advisers, portrayed in the film's trailer as fretful over Palin's intelligence and temperament, are shown in SarahPAC's video praising the former candidate.

Top adviser Steve Schmidt is shown saying "Her focus is extraordinary. She's working 15, 16 hours a day. We're very pleased with the results."

Schmidt, portrayed by Woody Harrelson in the HBO film, has been blamed for many of the anti-Palin stories following McCain's loss.

In the call with reporters last week, several current and former Sarah Palin advisers said Schmidt was responsible for spreading falsehoods about Palin that became the basis for storylines in the book "Game Change" was based upon.

A press release from SarahPAC explains the video as an attempt to set facts straight ahead of the film's release.

"Game Change is just the most recent example in a long history of facts being distorted for profit," the release said.

It adds, "Behind Game Change's slanderous agenda is a trail of money leading straight to the Barack Obama campaign and the Democrat Party."

HBO, like CNN, is owned by Time Warner.

Uh as I recall during the Fall of 2008 she wasn't even prepared to give interviews let alone the VPOTUS! She has been whining and b******* about everything, forever, ever since! She lacks credibility on so many levels. The GOP is in total collapse!

Why is everyone so scared of Sarah Palin? All of the comments I've read is about how no one cares about Palin but HBO spends tons of money making a movie about her? Now we learn the movie was produced just to trash her and isn't based on fact. Of course no one wants to talk about that. It's ok to do that to someone you don't like. Maybe you folks don't care about the truth, but I do.

It is hilarious how the supposedly socially liberal and accepting Democratic party lets its pro gay, anti family, anti religious minority faction control the party's treatment of women, especially women who are family oriented, experiencing the hardships most family's endure, women who are somewhat religious and yes, not in tune with the San Francisco life styles found in the media members and probalby the chambers of our federal government and many of the urban centers of America. Hipocrits. Laughable hipocrits. A true old school Demcrat has more in common with an average American like Sarah Palin than the straight women haters running their party these days.

"several current and former Sarah Palin advisers said Schmidt was responsible for spreading falsehoods about Palin" We heard them! They said she was competent and intelligent and prepared to be president of the United States! Apparently Schmidt is a well-known liar and fraud, and was that when she hired him to promote her. She didn't mind deception and inaccuracy when it directly benefited her, and she doesn't mind coming up with her own version of the truth. Notice she hasn't sued to stop the film? No grounds.

I like the fact she is blaming Obama and his campaign for the movie. As if he has anything to do with it at all. Her looking stupid is what she does and I doubt very much the president of the USA is worried that Sarah Palin may enter the race for the Oval Office. She doesn't have a hope in hell of holding a federal public office of any sort.

Amazing that the Libs. on the left will not leave this woman alone. She is NOT an elected official, nor is she currenty seeking any elective office. Their fear of this intelligent, well spoken, good character, attractive woman is so telling.

As much as they deny it, and work to convince their small minded following otherwise, the libs hate all conservative women and conservative blacks.

Why does anyone care? She was a mayor of a town of 5,000 and couldn't finish her term as governor in a state with a population the size of the Greater AKRON, OH metropoilitan area. I guess like Rush Bimbo, anyone can appeal to the lowest common denominator in society and find support.

We got the facts straight ... Sarah Palin is an idiot. We don't need a movie to convince us of that. But, can't wait to see the movie though.

Cant the media ask people like Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Newt and Ron Paul if they are idiots and or liers. i would like to hear or see thier response when asked a reality question. The entire GOP has dug a hole so deep for themselves that they are not even trying to get out of yet, they just keep digging, i have not heard anything intelligent come out of any of them. And for the people that actually vote for any of them are just as stupid. This entire thing all has to do with having a black president, really, this is what America has become, how sad, you should all be ashamed of yourselves, step down from your position of office and jump of a bridge.
