Palin PAC: 'Game Change' is 'fact change'

(CNN) – Sarah Palin took a hit at the upcoming television film based on her time as the 2008 vice presidential nominee Thursday, releasing a mock trailer portraying her candidacy in a much rosier light than the film's actual preview.

"Game Change," set to air on HBO March 10, stars Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin. A trailer released in January (WATCH) cast Palin as the villain of the 2008 contest, a portrayal advisers to Palin shot down in a conference call with reporters last week.

On Thursday Palin's political action committee SarahPAC released a video (WATCH) mocking the film, editing together complimentary clips from newscasts and interviews to present a positive portrait of Palin's candidacy. Left out is the behind-the-scenes whispering the "Game Change" trailer features heavily.

The mock trailer begins with a play on the film's title. The text "Game Change" transforms to "Fact Change," and a clip of Moore answering the phone with "This is Sarah" intros the words: "No, this is Sarah."

What follows is a two-and-a-half minute montage of television clips and newspaper headlines from 2008 proclaiming Palin an asset to Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign.

Palin is described as a "feisty, strong, tough and straight-talking governor," and someone who has "completely transformed the entire race, probably the entire party."

Former President Bill Clinton, in an interview, is shown calling Palin "Gutsy, spirited, real."

Former McCain advisers, portrayed in the film's trailer as fretful over Palin's intelligence and temperament, are shown in SarahPAC's video praising the former candidate.

Top adviser Steve Schmidt is shown saying "Her focus is extraordinary. She's working 15, 16 hours a day. We're very pleased with the results."

Schmidt, portrayed by Woody Harrelson in the HBO film, has been blamed for many of the anti-Palin stories following McCain's loss.

In the call with reporters last week, several current and former Sarah Palin advisers said Schmidt was responsible for spreading falsehoods about Palin that became the basis for storylines in the book "Game Change" was based upon.

A press release from SarahPAC explains the video as an attempt to set facts straight ahead of the film's release.

"Game Change is just the most recent example in a long history of facts being distorted for profit," the release said.

It adds, "Behind Game Change's slanderous agenda is a trail of money leading straight to the Barack Obama campaign and the Democrat Party."

HBO, like CNN, is owned by Time Warner.

Sure, some very creative editing here sarah. besides, when all you have to turn to for a "Journalist" endorsement and news coverage are FOX stories and reports only demonstrates the true extend or your desperation.
You wanted to go to Washington not to serve the people but to get out of Alaska. You were willing to run away from the very people who gave you what you have and who put you where you are or were.

The media seems to be giving this twit a lot of credit. She isn't that smart.

All this half an ex governor can do is try to re-write history to fit her own image. We saw her, we know her, we don't like her.

The movie was produced to make money. Period. Sarah Palin is sensational material – she provides SO much to a waiting audience, both to those who adore her and to those who think she's just a crazy celebrity-wannabe-politician. Look at how she went about slamming this movie – by making a mock trailer about it. Who is she trying to draw attention to – the big, bad media? The big, bad movie? The big, bad President of the United States? And the ensuing, enormous amount of publicity she gets for herself just can't be bought. She's become a millionaire as "Poor Sarah Palin." She ought to be on her knees thanking the media for the movie and all the publicity it's brought her. Just when she was starting to die in obscurity...

Sarah Palin is a loser (the 2008 elections) and a quitter (the Alaskan governorship). She doesn't even know US History (Paul Revere ringing his bell to warn the British). If you looked up "stupid" in the dictionary, you would see her picture. She makes Rick Perry look like a Rhodes Scholar.

BTW, the falsehoods about her were way nicer than the truehoods.

McCain's advisors had good reason to be fearful of Ms. Palin's "intelligence" and temperment. Using the term "lack of intelligence" might have been more accurate!

Is that a legitimate way to spend PAC money? Or does the tag on the end blaming the President make it qualify as political? Once again she is greatly exaggerating her own importance. Since she's not running for anything, except for the position of president of her own fan club, the Democratic Party wouldn't waste a dime on her.

I bet McCain wouldn't have chosen Palin if he had the chance to do it all over again. Palin sank his campaign and made the Repbublicans look even more unqualfied in the eyes of the American people.

Nixon, Bush, Palin, had movies made that really paint them like buffoons. None of them were buffoons. Reagan was painted like an ignoramous while in the white house. Obama is hip like Clinton. It is pretty obvious there is a huge slant. Much like blacks in the 30's and 40's were always buffoons. The country is really divided like good and evil is divided. Like sheep and goats are divided.

Ms. Palin has no credibility in her adopted state of Alaska. Her willful ignorance and back-stabbing approach to life have been rejected by many up here. Quitting her office in mid-term did not help her a bit. She is using her connection to Alaska for personal gain, without concern for accuracy or honesty.

The left will never tire of trying to destroy Palin and any other Conservative woman. Or lose their hunger for other people's money.

Yeah, like Limpy and the rest don't call Michelle Obama/Hillary/Nancy Pelosi/etc names and make dreogatory comments on a regular basis. When the Right puts an INTELLIGENT woman out there, it will be a different story. Saying Simple Sarah or "pray away the gay" Bachmann are intelligent is an insult to intelligent

I just saw Sarah's clip. OK, so she was good at jazzing up a crowd of people who are as dumb as she is. So what? She didn't mention any of the millions of gaffes and remarkably stupid comments and lack of appreciation of the facts and reality for which she built such a strong reputation.
