Palin PAC: 'Game Change' is 'fact change'

(CNN) – Sarah Palin took a hit at the upcoming television film based on her time as the 2008 vice presidential nominee Thursday, releasing a mock trailer portraying her candidacy in a much rosier light than the film's actual preview.

"Game Change," set to air on HBO March 10, stars Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin. A trailer released in January (WATCH) cast Palin as the villain of the 2008 contest, a portrayal advisers to Palin shot down in a conference call with reporters last week.

On Thursday Palin's political action committee SarahPAC released a video (WATCH) mocking the film, editing together complimentary clips from newscasts and interviews to present a positive portrait of Palin's candidacy. Left out is the behind-the-scenes whispering the "Game Change" trailer features heavily.

The mock trailer begins with a play on the film's title. The text "Game Change" transforms to "Fact Change," and a clip of Moore answering the phone with "This is Sarah" intros the words: "No, this is Sarah."

What follows is a two-and-a-half minute montage of television clips and newspaper headlines from 2008 proclaiming Palin an asset to Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign.

Palin is described as a "feisty, strong, tough and straight-talking governor," and someone who has "completely transformed the entire race, probably the entire party."

Former President Bill Clinton, in an interview, is shown calling Palin "Gutsy, spirited, real."

Former McCain advisers, portrayed in the film's trailer as fretful over Palin's intelligence and temperament, are shown in SarahPAC's video praising the former candidate.

Top adviser Steve Schmidt is shown saying "Her focus is extraordinary. She's working 15, 16 hours a day. We're very pleased with the results."

Schmidt, portrayed by Woody Harrelson in the HBO film, has been blamed for many of the anti-Palin stories following McCain's loss.

In the call with reporters last week, several current and former Sarah Palin advisers said Schmidt was responsible for spreading falsehoods about Palin that became the basis for storylines in the book "Game Change" was based upon.

A press release from SarahPAC explains the video as an attempt to set facts straight ahead of the film's release.

"Game Change is just the most recent example in a long history of facts being distorted for profit," the release said.

It adds, "Behind Game Change's slanderous agenda is a trail of money leading straight to the Barack Obama campaign and the Democrat Party."

HBO, like CNN, is owned by Time Warner.

Still blaming the lamestream mediafor her own mistakes/failings. Never taking responsibility for your own actions or idiocy will only be accepted by your own brain dead disciples.

"Fact Change" is pretty much a Palin specialty. What's her beef? Didn't she get the royalty check?

Her people were approached for input while this production was in the writing stage.

    They declined.

Now they want to cry foul after viewing a "trailer" and claim that the film makers took liberties and altered the facts.

    Pot, meet Kettle...

If Sarah doesn't like it then it means the movie is accurate. Sarah is the republican version of Jesse Jackson. Sarah and Jesse have the same chance of being elected, zero.

She should be flattered they did a movie about her. Where else in the world can you do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, be a quitter all your life, pretend to be something you are not, pander yourself across a nation for money (sucking on the public breast) and then culminate all of that garbage into money. Only in the US. Anywhere else, they may have simply executed her. HEE HAW!

Can't wait for the movie to see what REALLY happened during her campaign. What DID she do with all those thousands of dollars of clothes McCain bought for her anyway? Why did she drag out her kids to every political event that she went to and then complain about the media talking about her kid. Palin loves the attention, but gets worried and upset when the attention is the truth. She can dish out the nastiness about everyone else, but can't take it when it's about her. Cmon Todd, where are you when we need you to speak up and defend your woman?

Sarah, your credibility rating fluctuates between 1 and 2 so excuse me if I believe the movie more than your self-serving 2 minute short film. I guess 2 minutes is plenty of time to highlight your life's accomplishments. By the way, I am still a firm believer that millions of voters, including myself, would have voted for John McCain had he picked a qualified running mate.

If they are attacking you Sarah you must be doing something right! Haters will always hate.

I guess it takes one to know one. Perhaps if the caribou creep hadn't spewed so much hatred and lies it'd be in a better light We all know who and what it is and we reject it!

One part of this made me laugh. When they said Palin's intelligence. She has none, she's a plain old hick from Alaska using a status given to her from a desperate presidential candidate to make millions off of any moron who'll listen.

They should invent a drinking game for this movie, every time woody harrelson reacts in a negative manner to what the pseudo / simulated sarah says or does you take a shot of your favorite alcoholic beverage. it will make the film that much more enjoyable.
