Gaffes keep Romney playing defense

(CNN) - One step forward, one step back - that seems to be Mitt Romney's signature dance in the Republican presidential race.

After receiving a boost from this week's primary wins in Arizona and Michigan, Romney made another blunder. Now he's cleaning up the mess when he could be building momentum.

With all gaffes Romney is making one after the other, I really wonder if he can lead the greatest nation on earth. I try to think the former Presidents how accurate they were (not 100% though!) and compare Romney with them, I completely fail to get it. If Romney was competing to become VP, I could care less. But to become President?? Mmmmmmh!

It is sad to see the GOP has hitched itself to a vastly richer version of G.W. Bush.

Poor Mrs. Willard, she just can't put that broom and mop away for good–her man was born to make a mess.

How come no one is talking about the fact that his excues for the gaffe on the Blunt-Rubio Amendment was itself another gaffe? Romney had said that he was against a bill that prohibited employers from being forced to pay for contraceptives during the interview.

He later revised that opinion and said that he was for Blunt-Rubio, claiming that he had thought that it was state legislation that he was being asked about. And, that is the problem. If Romney were against the policy at the national level, then should he also be against it at the state level, too?

Bear in mind, that it does not work the other way around. It is okay to be for something at the state level, but against it at the national level. That's okay. But, it is talking out of both sides of your mouth to say you are for it at the national level and still be against it at the state level. Come on, man. Romney is talking to us like we're stupid.

I wouldn't say that Romney is making gaffes. He spends all of his time trying to be something he isn't and his "gaffes" reveal what he really is: an arrogant, out of touch, lying, spoiled brat who has no clue of what the average American deals with. It's really that simple...

I admire Mitt Romney for his resilience through this brutal campaign process where apparently it is fair for the media to take things completely out of context and use them as the main story. It is the media showing off their ability to be unaccountable, something very different than the situation a candidate has put themselves in.

But Mitt Romney is a smart guy who is man enough to stay above that dribble. He knows his support base is strong on his capabilities and his command of the issues. These are the important things in a campaign. These are what will win.

It's the elephant in the room for the Republican Party. The radicals are supporting a radical and the fat cats are supporting a fat cat. Moderate Republicans who actually want America to succeed don't have a candidate and they're staying away from the polls in droves.

My concern is for the next five years. After another loss in 2012 will Reoublicans continue to obstruct progress as the Party of no ideas? Will they throw out the Teavangenicals and actually strive to help working class Americans? If not – the Grand Old Party is history...

Imagine Mitt trying to speak with international leaders. He'll sound as clear as Santorum. Both fellas just need to go home.

More good news for Mitt: Delusional Paul has got a handful of votes he's going to take away from President Obama and eventually turn over to his great pal Mitt. Really, who knew Mitt had a MOLE? BTW Team Romney, you might ask Paul if he could volunteer those young voters to fill up some empty folding chairs at Mitts next really big rally and really big speech. Kid Rock might agree to perform for those young voters, too. Remeber Bachmann and the Randy Travis incentive?

Ann might want to check out the ingredient listing of whatever Willard is having for breakfast, especially the sugar levels, given that he talks faster than the speed of the cars at the race last weekend.

They are not gaffes. This is the way the super rich and millionaires think and say. They have it all while then rest of America keeps sinking.
He had the mini healthcare that has worked in MA, he was pro choice and he was spot on when before he had to backtrack to please the bible thumpers regarding contraception, He is who is really is. Nright now he needs to go crazy against civil, human and women's rights. I wonder what he is going to do when he goes against the President and everything starts rolling down hill

How can this moron be the choice of republicans? Maybe his motto is, "Win One For The Gaffer."
