Romney rips Obama campaign 'informercial'

(CNN) - Republican presidential front-runner Mitt Romney looked past his GOP opponents and focused squarely on President Barack Obama Friday, calling the president's new campaign film a misleading "infomercial" that ignores a slew of alleged administration failures.

Obama's team is "calling it a documentary. I don't think so. It's an infomercial," Romney told a crowd in Jackson, Mississippi. "I have some suggestions for the president and for the (film's) producer. ... Talk to the 24 million Americans who are out of work or underemployed in this country."

The fat-cats controlling the Republican Super PACs need to worry. They have three candidates who just can't seem to fool enough people to get elected. Romney's sugar daddies will have the deepest pockets and will therefore get the nomination, but his ridiculous platform and elitist demeanor kills his chances of getting votes for intelligent, working-class Americans. "I like grits!" What a moron.

@Talkytalk – President Obama now has four years of experience as President of the United States, compared for zero for the entire GOP field. I guess you're voting for Obama on re-election day.

to Woman in California – People get brains from experience, Obama had no experience running a city or state or a business. He is highly educated in law and yes he can think as well in law.
"It takes brains not a useless piece of paper to run this country and our president not only is highly educated he can think as well.

@Talkytalk – When smart people get educated, it is not a useless piece of paper. More anti-intellectual stupidity from the right – which appears to have a case of collective envy of the smart and educated. I guess you all would like stupid people to run the country, which explains your candidates.

@Four – "Listen to the more than 70% of people in Massachusetts who voted for him on Tuesday."
Even by your loose standards for accuracy, this is a ridiculous statement. Romney got 265,110 votes in MA, which has 4.1 million registered voters. I think that comes out to 6.4%. More right wing magic math?
72.2% of the 367,438 people who voted is 265,110. Put it this way, people in Massachusetts came out to support Mitt Romney, not to vote against him.

Your comparison of registered voters vs. actual voters is almost as bad as Obama comparing 15% capital gains tax to income tax. Different animals.

to Mikey – you actually think it is a good thing to say " President Obama now has four years of experience as President of the United States,"? So for 4 years he's been getting experience to run our country. Doesn't your own comment explain to you why our country is in such a mess? Thank you, you just explained it to everyone that he had no prior experience to run our country.

well I have something to say, Romney is the winner, and the other three are not going anywhere. he didn't buy anything his support and therefore his polital driving force did. it means he is stronger not weaker than the other three. money=power, and power =influence=got my vote

Advice to Willard: Hire yourself a REAL good, healthy vice president (should you win) because when people see you standing there hugging your (5) healthy son's while their loved ones are in a cold grave from fighting your foolish war with Iran you won't stand a prayer.

The more this charlatan opens his lying mouth with his 100% negative rhetoric the more people will come to understand that he has absolutely no economic plan that will help America recover from the Republican induced recession. It took eight years to get us into one of the greatest economic downturns in our history and it will take longer than the three years that President Obama has had to get us out.

Romney is not a “business” person. He is a corporate raider who put countless people out of work, shipped their jobs overseas while bankrolling his profits in the Cayman Islands and Switzerland.

He is a total fraud and his whining negativity is simply appalling

Yes he has been getting experience to run the United States and so will Willard because until you have ACTUALLY been president BEFORE (1st term) it is a learning experience.

Let's understand something, Willard, this is President Obama's informercial, not yours. You may say he has alleged failures and then you say his film is misleading because he doesn't site them. You site your business experience and what you really did was take investors money and shut down a majority of the businesses and return a handsome profit to your investors while the "little people" lost their jobs. Do you tell us all this in your ads? Don't belive you do. Don't be such a dolt – I swear, I don't know how you show up in the right place day after day – oh – that's right your staff picks you up and delivers you.

@Truth – You are right, there is no comparison between the population of registered voters or likely voters at large and the 9% of registered voters that participate in the GOP primaries, half of which are complete right wing wack jobs.

@Talkytalk – I stand corrected on who's comment that was.

@woman in CA – Please don't joke about killing the POTUS. With all the threats President Obama has received, it's not a funny matter... and whenever a U.S. President is attacked, it is an attack on America and on all Americans. If assassinated, it is a tragedy for all Americans, whether we agree with that President's policies or not. I hope we are all Americans first.

It takes ANY president two to three years to learn the ropes.
If we switch leadership...everyone who has been set in place all gets switched back out again...and we start from scratch. Policy changes cannot take place with gridlock, btw. And all the propositions that attack the middle class beg for opposition. That means more gridlock.

We should pay attention to ancient Chinese wisdom that is centuries old. Confusious says he who switches boats in midstream usually drowns.

Romney & his party have tried the spin & outright lies to confuse & obscure, while underestimating the intelligence of working Americans! I couldn't afford a formal education, but even so, I can tell that the GOP-TPs platform is obstruction, negativity, no solutions & no compromise! President Obama has had to deal w/not only inheriting the worst economy since the Depression, but also an obstructionist Congress who were ill mannered, crying & throwing tantrums! And that was after he had to show his birthcertificate to prove he wasn't Kenyan, a transparent attack on his race, which no other American president has had to endure! Americans need to be reminded of all he's managed to accomplish in spite of the Party of No! The old addage that if you repeat a lie often enough people will believe it, isn't working! We don't believe you, not because of spin & lies, but because of Facts! Try it sometime!!

    @ Anonymous (one of many)

so Romney did not buy his support huh? Well do a search and see just WHO is supporting him in the voting sector.....those with incomes of over $150 thousand and up! How do you say the 1%!! He is not doing very well with what Sarah Palin called one time the "real Americans". Nothing wrong with having rich people support you but in a general it is going to take MORE than that.
