Washington (CNN) – The super PAC supporting Rick Santorum Thursday bought $310,000 worth of air time in Illinois - fresh evidence that both his campaign and allies see the state as a key battleground.
Santorum's campaign had already purchased $122,000 of statewide cable time for ads beginning Thursday.

(CNN) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is hitting the campaign trail once again for his good friend Mitt Romney.
With a lot riding on next Tuesday's primary in Illinois, where 66 delegates will be at stake, the former Massachusetts governor greets Republican primary voters at a pancake breakfast Friday morning in Rosemont. Washington (CNN) - As the battle for the GOP presidential nomination goes on and on, it seems that more and more Republicans appear to be saying "enough already," according to a new national poll.
A Pew Research Center survey indicates that 47% of Republicans and independent voters who lean towards the GOP say the ongoing primary and caucus process is good for the party, with 43% saying it's bad for the party. When asked the same question in mid-February, by a 55%-36% margin, Republicans said the primary and caucus contests were good for the GOP.

"Santorum's view is narrow and a limiting view of what America is all about," Pedro Pierluisi, a Democrat, said on CNN's "Starting Point with Soledad O'Brien" "English is the predominant language in the U.S. and will continue to be so, whether Puerto Rico becomes a state or not."

Chicago (CNN) - Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is scheduled to arrive at a Colorado federal prison Thursday to begin serving a 14-year sentence on a corruption conviction.
